SELCO EXPLORATION COMPANY LIMITED CLAIMS 200696 TO 200707 PATRICIA MINING DIVISION This report describes results of ground magnetic and electromagnetic surveys undertaken during February and March over twelve claims on Pashkokogan Lake, Patricia Mining Division. Location and Access The claims are on the east side of Pashkokogan Lake and five miles east of the Savant Lake-Pickle Crow highway. Access is by this highway, thence by canoe, or by float- or ski-equipped aircraft landing on Pashkokogan Lake. Description of Claims The property consists of twelve contiguous unpatented mining claims, Nos. 200696 to 200707 inclusive. Survey Procedure The claims have been covered by a grid of control lines comprising an easterly trending baseline 1.6 miles long and 10.4 line miles of northerly trending offsets at intervals of 400 feet, a total of 12.0 miles of lines. Offsets have been picketed at intervals of 100 feet and ground magnetometer readings have been taken along these lines at intervals of 100 feet. Electromagnetic surveys have been run along these lines and conductor indications traced in detail. The surveys were performed by C. Parks and I.Charles between February 25, 1970 and March 20, 1970.
- 2 - Magnetometer Survey The magnetometer survey was performed using a Barringer CM 102 nuclear precession magnetometer measuring the total magnetic field in gammas. Corrections for diurnal drift have been made using a series of base stations. Readings are plotted on the accompanying map, Plan SE 310, and have been contoured at intervals of 100 gammas. Electromagnetic Survey The electromagnetic survey was performed using Barringer LEW 2 vertical field dip angle electromagnetic equipment. Recon naissance traverses were made along the offsets in search of conductor indications and readings were recorded at intervals of 50 feet. Conductor indications subsequently were traced in detail by fixed transmitter techniques. Reconnaissance and detailed readings are shown on the accompanying plan, No. SE 310. Results The contoured magnetic plan shows two elongate discon tinuous positive magnetic anomalies. One of these is under the lake between lines 4 East and 24 East, and ranges in peak amplitude from 200 gammas to 1,000 gammas above local background. The other anomaly is to the east on shore and forms an arcuate trend 2,500 feet long between lines 60 East and 80 East with peak amplitudes of up to 7,500 gammas above local background. The electromagnetic survey has indicated two conductors coincident with these magnetic anomalies. The western conductor is 2,000 feet long with cross-overs of from 4 degrees total to 10 degrees total. The strongei eastern zone is 2,500 feet long with
cross-overs of from 8 degrees total to 33 degrees total. J.S. Auston, P.Eng., Ontario, Toronto, August 19, 1970.
