Introduction s Centre of Excellency (CoE) is hosted by the Moroccan met Office in since December of 2012 with the support of WMO and EUMETSAT. s CoE target the African Frensh- speaking countries (17), Action plans are tailored upon the region s training needs through regular online survey with tree goals: How previous training impact? What are the training priority areas? what would be the most appropriate methodological approaches to follow for training? Target area of Casa CoE

Vision Centre d Excellence Strategy, Fundamentals A center of excellence focused on the use of satellite data for new applications development and knowledge transfer while building synergies with its partners including the Niamey CoE. to systematically improve the use of satellite data for meteorological and hydrological applications over the next 10 years in all Member countries, with a focus on meeting the needs of the developing countries A STRATEGY FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN SATELLITE MATTERS, WMO 1993 The Objectives To identify and to update training needs of the region, To achieve training activities that meet the needs priorities of the region, To develop and maintain proficiency in providing online training; To build synergies with others CoE in particular Niamey Center.

Extreme High Swell Events on the Moroccan Atlantic Coast This training module is produced by la Direction de la Météorologie Nationale in Morocco in partenary with Eumetsat and The training module describes the appropriate process in forecasting high swell events, and aims to improve the ability of marine forecasters to forecast extreme marine events related to high swells.
