Preliminary designs for the Mengzi Part and Jianshui Part (except for the South Bypass) have both been completed and approved by the Yunnan Provincial DRC. Land acquisition and resettlement activities for Jinhua Road and Xuefu Road have started in Mengzi. A contract for three integrated corridors in Jianshui is under procurement. Three consulting services contracts have been awarded for a public transport policy study, a RAP external monitoring, and a environmental external monitoring, and services are ongoing. One consulting services contract for project management is also under procurement. The Honghe PMO and Mengzi/Jianshui PEOs are preparing a work plan for activities to be carried out under the project in 2016. The Honghe Prefecture Government is preparing a plan to avoid conflicts between a proposed tramway network and the Project components to improve public transport in Mengzi Municipality.
