Coastal Hazards / Hydrology Rip Currents: Northeast winds of 15-25 mph and waves of 6-8 will result in a high risk of rip currents for Northeast Florida beaches. Additionally, a Coastal Flood Watch is in effect from Duval through Flagler Counties. There is also a moderate risk of rip currents for east central Florida and Panhandle beaches. A low risk is expected elsewhere. Remember, always swim within sight of a lifeguard. Rip currents can still occur on low risk days! Rainfall totals of 1-2 are possible along the East Coast from St. Augustine to Cape Canaveral. If the rain falls in a short period of time, it may result in some nuisance urban flooding.
