Tail Point (mt) : 32.120 mt. 7 Breath X Depth 6.00 m X 2.80 m 8 Discharge Q Head 31.39 Cumecs This 28.170 Km long Sanand Branch Canal passes through Kadi taluka of Mehsana District, Sanand Taluka of Ahmedabad District. Sanand Branch Canal crosses Irana-droda drain at Ch. 3.259 It emanates from Narmada Main Canal at Ch. 258.632 Km near VillageVansol, Ta. Kadi, Dist. Mehsana. RL 62.38 mt and runs upto tail near village. Chharodi, Ta. Sanand, Dist. Ahmedabad RL 32.12 mt. There are Paddy, Cotton, Juvar, Pulses, Wheat, Vegetables, Gram, Linseed Crops generally being shown in the command area of this canal. The soil in command area is of SM, SM-SC, CL, SC & CI. It serves 25183 ICA out of 33171 in the total

command area of 41287 (GCA) The general slope of command are is flat. There are 8 Nos of falls with total 17.087 mt dropdepth of all falls, constructed on the canal to traverse the geography. The canal was constructed between 1998 to 2004 of a total cost of 2928.77 lacs. It is capable of running discharged at head. 31.387 cumecs (1108.27 cusec) and at tail 8.074 cumecs ( 285.09 cusec) Total volume of structure concrete 22.62 LCM was used, total volume of C.C. lining (0 to 9.044 km. 10.0 cm. & 9.044 to 28.17 km.7.0 cm thick) 4.50 LSM was used & total earthwork 10.80 LCM was done in constructing this canal. There are 18 nos of bridges, 5 nos of Nala crossing and no river crossing locate at the canal for passing through the region. This canal serves 1.33 lacs people of 64 villages of Kadi Taluka of Mehsana District, Sanand & Viramgam taluka of Ahmedabad district & Kalol Taluka of Gandhinagar district. There is no water supply network constructed by the GWSSB on this canal. There is no minor/sub minor canals built for tank filling.
