The further you are from the equator, the more accurate this method will be. In the northern hemisphere, bisect the angle between the hour hand and the o'clock * mark and set the bezel s indicator to that point. Hold the watch horizontal and point the hour hand at the sun; the bezel s indicator will be pointing orth. If there is any doubt as to which end of the line is north, remember that the sun rises in the east, sets in the west, and is due south at noon.
