9 Main Goal of the Class Upon successful completion of Physics 125 students will: (a) Sketch an accurate free-body diagram of external forces acting on a system, (b) Use Newton s three laws of motion to solve problems involving acceleration and force. (c) Use the Principle of Conservation of Mechanical Energy and the Work-Energy Theorem to solve energy-related problems.

10 Real Goal of the Class Learn to think critically. What does critical thinking mean? Example: we all have certain core beliefs. When you are confronted with strong evidence that your beliefs maybe wrong, do you double down on your beliefs, or do you change them?
