2 I know this is a talk on gravity, which always traces back to Newton, but let us first briefly talk about the fatal flaw of relativity. Although, time dilation and the other physical measurements such as height or width are measured by light between orbiting masses, the increase in mass that relativity (fails to) predict(s) is measured by the gravitational force, which travels at it s own unique speed constraint, Vfg. The predictions that the theory of relativity makes correctly are all the dimensional measurements and are properly lauded. What is missing is the acknowledgement that the mass predictions made by relativity are incorrect hence the missing mass discrepancy and the need for dark matter. While much is said about the 100% repeated accuracy of Einstein s predictions, his theory of relativity has it wrong by treating he speed of the gravitational information arriving via force as the same as the information arriving by light, at the speed of light. By allowing for a slower speed of gravity which is a force, not a photon, the 5.6 extra mass of the universe is predicted with as an added bonus thrown in, a prediction of dark energy in the amount seen. 4 need for dark matter as a separate and unique substance but rather explains it as an effect caused by the aberration of gravity which shows up as accelerated acceleration in orbiting masses. It also predicts an ideal galactic rotation charts that seem to be an average of what astronomers observe. Which brings us back to the topic, how modifying Kepler s Law to account for a shrinking r as orbital velocity increases due to aberration because of a finite speed of gravity], predicts the galactic rotation chart results that we observe. 5 This law is logically defined by setting the centrifugal force equal to the gravitational force v ) r = m +m ) r ) So everything balances. On this path of masses, extended out to galaxy size radii and beyond, stars would be expected to also trace Kepler s curve and continue to decline in velocity as the radius increases. However, this is not what is seen. What was found by members of the Hubble era was that, instead of declining, a stars speed increases up to a plateau of about 250 KPS. Figure 2. example to come. What became evident was that something was modifying the Kepler curve. The stars were going far too fast unless the gravity was 5.6 times what we expected with Newton s Law of Gravity. Newton s Law of Gravity: Fg = m +m ) r ) This discrepancy inspired physicists to theorize dark matter, which appears to be the only way of making Newton s Law work, given the extra gravity. 6 The problems with dark matter as a theory only multiply. The Case-Western study in September proved that radical velocity is correlated with gravity, not something to be seen with dark matter. What now? It turns our there is another way to modify the gravity equation. Instead of adding more mass to the m + m ) in the numerator of Newton s Law, the denominator r that at first seems inviolate, naturally reduces when a finite speed of gravity is considered. Star B at time 2 gravitationally is attracted to star A at time 1, a distance that must be shorter than the diameter, which is traditionally used. To use anything else would be to admit that Vfg must have a speed, thus shortening the r. Why would it be a problem if Vfg were not infinitely fast? Well, it was before the discovery of dark energy in 1998 because any finite speed generates a θ, which generates a tangential radial vector. Translation any speed of gravity creates unstable orbits in frictionless situations. This concept was the proof that gravity must travel infinitely fast in Newtonian physics while in relativistic physics the speed of gravity is considered c and the necessary resultant tangential component was ignored calling it a Newtonian physics glitch. Relativity explained away their error in using c for Vfg (without recognizing a tangent force must appear) by saddling Newtonian physics with the illogical Vfg = infinity and washing their hands of the dilemma. Vfg being finite and Vorb at zero are the only situations where the dark energy and dark matter vectors could be zero. Zero, not the chosen infinity, was the right choice. 7 Physics can t have two different speeds, at least one is wrong. In fact, philosophically, there shouldn t be two physics. But, with the acceptance that there is some mysterious outward forcing vector plus the newer recognized accelerated expansion of the universe it is possible to start putting two and two and two and two, together. When this shorter distance r instead of r is used to denote a distance between masses that decreases as their orbital velocity increases, their gravity goes up as there velocity increases. Philosophically, this is this increase that adds to the velocity of the Kepler curve giving the observed characteristic plateau. Okay, back to math As stars rotate faster, their gravity is seen by the orbiting partner at an earlier place and time on the orbit path where the gravity was emitted (A = >). This both shortens the r and changes the net gravitational pull angle adding forward component angle θ. At any finite speed there must exist an angle θ, which adds a mysterious tangential force in the direction of the orbit. Back to that soon The arc of the mass A = > A = A must equal the gravity chord A = > B ). A large enough orbit velocity reduces the r enough to increase the gravity to the 5.6 observed amount. Call that r. If you swing the r to meet the AB orbit path in front of B, you will find the path of chord that A = > B = A gravity traverses. The θ angle to have 5.6 times extra gravity is 65. 8 an outward forcing tangential acceleration vector and an inward pulling vector we call gravity modified for orbital speed. When one calculates the percentages of mysterious tangential force against the total of the radial and tangent gravity vectors, when gravity arrives at an angle theta of 65, 68% tangential force is found, leaving 32% for inward pull. cos θ cos θ ) + sin θ ) One might call it a fantastic coincidence, but the 68% matches the latest NASA data, as does, of course the 32% inward pull, which represents 5% visible matter plus 27% dark energy. For the purposes of labeling this paper, we will assume in a Sherlock Holmes way that the perfect correlation of our mysterious dark energy force means the tangential vector with a net outward force can then at lease temporarily be labeled dark energy. We will also assume that the net inward pull is the sum of dark matter and visible matter vectors: Since Keplers law doesn t seem to work in galaxies, perhaps it is because the law was not modified for the speed of gravity (Vfg). Only at higher orbiting speeds do the dark effects become measurable. To modify the law requires that instead of setting the centrifugal force equal to Newton s Law with a static r, we need to set it equal to the real net pull considering r. 9 Where d + is the net radial pull of sum of the corrected inward pull and radial pull vectors. Setting the centrifugal force equal to the new corrected gravity. v ) r = cos(θ) d + Leads to a curve that looks like the ideal rotation curve, which it should be, when the x- axis is converted from 0 to 90 θ to linear distance MPC. The y-axis should be interpreted as the velocity of gravity n terms of the constant Vfg. That means we need a speed of gravity to be able to attach to this axis..5 would mean half the speed of gravity. We need a speed of the reach of gravity to assign velocities to the y-axis other that in Vfg s. Although, there is proof showing all the effects we see I gravitational orbits can exist at a speed of roughly 380 KPS, there is a more fun proof/observation. 1. The largest gravitationally bound orbits occur in galaxy clusters. The largest galaxy cluster is 5MPC. 2. The Hubble constant of 72 KPS/MPC means that for each MPC stars are farther apart, they are moving away from each other at an additional 72 KPS. 3. Analogous to the Hubble sphere for light, gravity between masses blinks out when the separation speed of the masses exceeds the speed of gravity. 10 When the x-axis is converted to a linear scale from 0 to infinity, the characteristic rotation chart appears. The y-axis, when labeled with 1 being equal to 360 KPS, shows that on average, galaxies plateau at rotation speed of 250. This reflects what is observed in galaxies. Fin. Dark Energy Observations This dark energy rotation curve shown in red dots should correlate to the shape/growing size of the universe, when modified for a linear x-axis time frame, because of the accelerated acceleration going forward sin time, the decelerating deceleration going backwards never ends in a Big Crunch but rather some initial condition possibly far, far into the past. This observation eliminates the 13.8 billion year longest possible history constraint. It also explains the super massive black holes seen in the early universe that would logically be explained by this much longer time frame, than by now unnecessary inflation. This far older age of exactly three eras explains the homogeneity of the cosmic background radiation in the WMAP far better than inflation, the first era being defined as expansion before the first inflation point, all expansion for a while, leading to a second inflation point where dark energy stabilizes at a (slightly) declining accelerating in perpetuity. After the original decelerating acceleration, the accelerating acceleration (where we are now), a slightly declining acceleration is reached showing an almost linear relationship (as observed) into oblivion.
