5 GARTEUR LIMITED NLR-TR / GARTEUR TP-139 Summary The GARTEUR action group 28, Transonic WingIBody Code Validation Experiment, is a cooperation of BAe-Airbus, DLR, EADS (Aerospatiale), EADS (DASA), ETW, FOI, NLR and ONERA. The group started at the end of 1996 and it is chaired by DLR. The objectives of the GARTEUR AD (AG-28) Transonic WingBody Code Validation Experiment are to provide: measurement of extensive pressures, forces and boundarylwake measurement on a half span model of the AS-28 wing in the S1 (ONERA) wind tunnel and accurate forces and selected pressure measurements of the AS-28 full-span model, corrected for wall and sting interference, in the ETW and the DNW-HST. The research institutes DLR, FOI and NLR constructed a full-span model (AS28), which was designed by DLR. This report presents the test results of the full-span model in the DNW-HST measured in July/August The model AS28 was tested at Mach numbers in the range of 0.6 to 0.85 at lift coefficients ranging from about zero to buffet onset. The wind tunnel configuration was slotted during the test. The Reynolds number based on the average mean chord has been kept at 3.3 million. The data presented are preliminary. The presented wall pressures are tared. The forces and moments are not corrected for tunnel wall and sting interference. The forces and moments presented are corrected for upwash and buoyancy.
