2 Introduction ν s are investigating new physics at CEνNS experiments (stopped pion, reactors): COHERENT, CONUS, MINER, CONIE etc. Many interesting ideas can be probed involving high and low mass mediators This talk will cover low mass mediators at CEνNS experiments (not easy scenarios for the LHC) 1) Parameter space of Z- ZZ mixing, L µ -L τ models 2) Hidden sector model effects 3) Low mass DM models associated with new symmetry scale 4) Charged particles as signals in some DM scenarios 2

3 Models: Kinetic mixing L iiiiii = gg cc cc αα (tt αα εε ss ww )(ττ 3LL tt αα εε/ ss ww ss 2 ww tt αα εε ss ww QQ)ZZ μμ ffγγ μμ ff ww ss αα : Z-Z mass mixing 1. Dark Z boson: α small, coupling: iiiitttttttt ww (YY ff /2)εε BB 2. Dark hypercharge boson: ϵ small, coupling: iigg cc ww εε ZZ (ττ 3LL ss ww 2 QQ) εε ZZ ss αα 3

7 U(1) T3R Model for a sub GeV DM can be probed. E.g., there may be a new symmetry breaking scale around GeV 2 nd and 1 st generation fermion masses ( ~MeV to few GeV) Anomaly free SU(2) L U(1) Y U(1) T3R Z Low mass dark matter, gauge Boson, scalar ZZ Predictions are testable at direct detection, coherent experiments, Various low energy experiments Dutta, Ghosh, Kumar: to appear 7

8 U(1) T3R Scalar ϕ vev breaks U(1) T3R to Z 2, vev is around GeV ZZ mixes with Z, photons at one loop: Constraints from COHERENT, B-factories, g-2 etc. on the gauge coupling (g T3R ) Satisfy fermion masses and obey the constraints of light scalar Yukawa couplings (λ i ): Low energy experiments ηη is odd under parity: Dark Matter with sub GeV mass 8

9 Hidden Sector: Form factor Hidden sector fermions χ: ZZ couples directly to χ and leptons Datta, Duraisamy, Ghosh 13, Datta, Kumar, Liao, Marfatia, 17 Elor, Liu, Slatyer, Soreq, 18 Quark coupling with χ is due to this operator: For Scalar (S) mediator 9

15 Outlook CEνNS probes new physics models associated with ν interactions Models with heavy/light mediators are probed: Investigates the gap 1 MeV-10 GeV where the collider bounds are not applicable Probes many interesting ideas, e.g., L µ -L τ, Hidden sector, Low mass DM, Multicomponent dark matter models etc. Existence of sterile neutrino can be probed: MiniBooNE + LSND excess (Joel Walker s talk) 15
