For k 2, w driv an asymptotic formula for th numbr of zros of th forms k (x2 2i +x2 2i + k (x2 2k+2i +x2 2k+2i x2k 4k+ x k (x2 2i +x2 2i+ +x k 2k+2 (x2 2k+2i+ +x2 2k+2i+2 x2k+ 4k+3 in th box x i P using th circl mthod. Mathmatics Subjct Classification 2: Primary D45; Scondary D85, P55.. Introduction Th problms of rprsntation of positiv intgrs of non-trivial rprsntation of zro by forms with intgral cofficints hav attractd attntion of many mathmaticians sinc th bginning of th 2th cntury. Most of th work in this ara has bn carrid out using th circl mthod. Th squar-root barrir implis that th circl mthod is unlikly to yild an asymptotic formula in cas of a form of dgr d with lss than 2d+ variabls. In 962 Birch, Davnport Lwis [] found an asymptotic formula for th numbr rprsntations of zro in a box x i P by th cubic forms in svn variabls of th typ N (x,x 2,x 3 +N 2 (x 4,x 5,x 6 +a 7 x 3 7 whr N N 2 ar norm forms of som cubic fild xtnsions of Q a 7 is a nonzro intgr. Incidntally, whras an asymptotic formula for th numbr of rprsntations of an intgr as a sum of ight cubs has bn stablishd by Vaughan [4], an asymptotic formula in th cas of a sum of svn cubs sms to b out of rach as of now. Howvr, a lowr bound of th xpctd ordr of magnitud has bn stablishd by Vaughan [5]. A fw mor familis of cubic forms in svn variabls hav bn dalt with. Howvr, for d 4 no xampl of an asymptotic formula for th numbr of rprsntations of ithr zro or of larg positiv intgrs by a form of dgr d in 2d+ variabls sms to xist in th litratur. In this papr, for ach d 4, w stablish an asymptotic formula for th numbr of zros of a particular form of dgr d in 2d+ variabls in a suitabl xping box using th circl mthod. It turns out that our proof gos through in cass d =,2,3 as wll rtrivs prviously known rsults in thos cass. For d vn, say d = 2k, k, w look at th numbr zros of th form k k f(x = f(x,...,x 4k+ = (x 2 2i +x 2 2i+ (x 2 2k+2i +x2 2k+2i x2k 4k+ whil for d odd, say d = 2k +, k, w look at th numbr of zros of th form k k f(x = f(x,...,x 4k+3 = x (x 2 2i +x 2 2i++x 2k+2 (x 2 2k+2i+ +x2 2k+2i+2 x2k+ 4k+3
