We observe fair play both on and off the field and are humble in victory and dignified in defeat. We play to win but not at all cost and recognise both participation and achievement. We ensure that the well-being and development of individual players are central to all sport activities. While the majority of sport people strive to play their respective sports in a sporting manner, there are many who attempt to exploit ambiguities in the rules and utilise any advantages they can gain. They will argue that they are still performing within the rules, and so are not doing anything wrong. However, whether or not they are within the rules, is different from displaying good sportsmanship and playing within the spirit of the game. 2 ONS BORGE: Geagte Ouer, Toeskouer en speler. INTERSKOLE : DURBANVILLE en EVERSDAL 2016 is n besondere jaar vir sportlui dwarsoor die wêreld, alles te danke aan die Olimpiese Spele! Saam met die res van die wêreld aanskou ons soveel kosbare lesse uit hierdie grootse geleentheid van suksesse, teleurstellings, uithouvermoë, vaardighede en sportmanskap. Interskole 2016 is dan ook weer n geleentheid waar ons met toewyding en passie ons onderskeie skole kan ondersteun. During this week we celebrate the talent we have received from God and we display this by participating in cultural and sporting activities. This is a special week as the excitement of participation can usually be felt and experienced by all the learners of the two schools whether you are a participant or a supporter. Tydens die week sal daar wenners en verloorders wees. Die wenners is egter nie noodwendig die wat eerste eindig of wie die hoogste tellings bereik nie. Wenners word gekenmerk deur karakter, deursettingsvermoë en die manier waarop hulle die spel speel. The coaches and adults supporting all the players on the day could be seen as the biggest role players. Every participant is very aware of his/her role and the way you as parent and adult react to the performance of your son or daughter. The character displayed on the day is what will carry your son and daughter through their schooling years and as adults one day. Ons wil al ons personeel, ouers en ondersteuners bedank wat toesien dat sport deur ons kinders in goeie gees gespeel en ervaar word! Mag die week vir u baie vreugde bring.
