5 Introduction This document, The Outer Circle details the rite for those who unofficially, or in secret, align themselves with the Ordo Serpentis and authentic Luciferan doctrine but who, for reasons of their own, choose to remain unofficially affiliated. It has intentionally been kept to a form that permits the individual to, almost immediately, join in kindred spirit with other Satanists who may, or may not, be officially members of Ordo Serpentis. The Ordo Serpentis understands that an individual s circumstance may lead them best to remain officially unknown or unrecognised. However, do not be misled into believing that this rite is simply a way to siphon power from the order. Only those genuinely kindred in spirit shall benefit from engaging in this ritual. Those not true shall, in effect, enact a curse upon themselves in their attempt to subvert the will of Satan and those loyal to the Satanic cause. Page 5 of 15

6 Preparation First, ensure that you have read, and have an understanding of, I Liber Serpente. This is vital. This rite is, in effect, an addition to the Satanic self-dedication ritual and it is important that this is followed closely. (This rite is conducted as per the dates given in Liber Serpente.) Secondly, prepare the altar and yourself ritually (again, as detailed in Liber Serpente). Thirdly, you shall require a copy of the sigil on a virgin sheet of paper. (The sigil is made available close to, though prior to, the appropriate date. Well before the Rite of the Outer Circle, spend some time in meditation and contemplation on the sigil itself. The sigil in the centre of the pentagram unites all Satanists for the ritual. You shall also personalise the entire symbol by adding your own sigil for your own personal desires in the section between the two upper horns of the pentagram. Page 6 of 15

7 The rite of the Outer Circle is to be conducted, ideally on, or as close to as possible, the appropriate date. Personalising the Sigil As stated, this rite serves to honour Satan, benefit the Ordo Serpentis, and benefit the individual Luciferan undertaking the rite. For the latter, the overall symbol must be personalised by creating a sigil and drawing such within the two upper points of the pentagram that represents the individual s desire. First and foremost, select your most important desire that you wish fulfilled. Be certain that this does not, in any way, conflict with Luciferan doctrine. You must be confident and assured that such shall not be against the will of the Prince of Darkness. Secondly, spend some time in contemplation of the sigil that is prepared for the rite (and the entirety of the symbol Page 7 of 15

8 overall). Feel how it meshes with your own personal desires to assist in determining which of your own goals will be most congruous to the rite. After you are comfortable with the sigil and how your own desire is compatible with such, it is time to make your own sigil to complement what has been provided. Consider how to most directly and succinctly state your own personal desire. You need to refine this until it is one short sentence. For example, you may say: I desire enough money to purchase the stone altar that I would find best to conduct my rites upon. This is a reasonable enough desire but it actually limits how the altar is to be acquired. That is undesirable in this work. Therefore, it is further refined to: I desire the stone altar to conduct my rites upon. This is a significant improvement but somewhat superfluous. Therefore: I desire a stone altar. Page 8 of 15

9 Better still but yet further: I desire my chosen altar. This is the best as it also enforces that such has manifest (and it has done so in thought; next comes deed and magically; when the ritual is conducted.) Write the final statement out and then proceed to cross off any recurring letters. In this example the result left is: Idesrmychonalt. Now, using the letters you have, create a form that embraces all of the letters as the basis. It is entirely permissible, and in some ways desirable, to elongate, combine, elaborate, stylise, mix capitals with lowercase letters; anyway you feel led to personalise and act in an artistic fashion with your components is fine. 10 There are, of course, virtually an unlimited number of other ways such could be expressed. Once you have created a sigil that embodies your desire that you are satisfied with, draw your personal sigil onto the symbol provided. Your personal sigil is to be engraved in the space between the two upper points of the pentagram of the symbol that has been made available for the rite. This completes the preparation of the complete sigil for the ritual. The entire sigil is placed upon the altar prior to commencing the rite. Page 10 of 15

11 The Outer Circle rite Within the Satanic self-dedication rite; after immersing your blade in the flame and performing the Luciferan Cross, cross both arms across your chest and enter into a silence. Close your eyes and allow yourself to feel the presence of the Prince of Darkness and the aethyrs surrounding you. You are about to combine your will with those of kindred spirit for a three-fold reason: to honour Satan and affirm his will throughout the universe; to benefit the Ordo Serpentis and further the order s presence and power throughout the world as the beacon of authentic Satanism; to benefit yourself in your own personal situation. This is not to be taken lightly and permitting yourself some time to enter silent awareness shall magnify the ritual effects immensely. Once you have entered into an inner silence ensure that you are undertaking the Page 11 of 15

12 rite with correct presence and desire. If you feel a foreboding then you are best served to state in a quiet voice: I respectfully remove myself from communion for this time Lord Satan. If so, then continue as per the Rite of Infernal Communion. There is no shame in this occurring if you respectfully withdraw. To continue, open your eyes and, taking your blade in hand, upraise the blade and your left hand in the sign of the horns. State: Praised be Satan, Prince of Darkness. Grace me with your blessing and accept my union of will with those of the faithful. Bless all in communion and look favourably upon my desire entwined with those of kindred spirit! Keeping your left hand raised in the sign of the horns point your blade tip to the centre sigil. State: I join my will with all true and faithful brothers and sisters of the left-hand path. My will entwines with their will; my spirit with their spirit; my desires with their Page 12 of 15

13 desires. Let this great work, embodied in the sublime, come to pass and manifest in accordance with your will great prince! Praised be Lucifer, glory to Satan! Stare at the central sigil. Envision it burning with flame while simultaneously the lines of the sigil itself surge with a blue, electric-like, energy. Watch this spread throughout the entire symbol including your own personal sigil. Once you can see (in your mind s eye) the entire symbol glowing with the electriclike energy and simultaneously aflame with a fire that casts both light and dark shimmering shadows, place the blade tip upon your own sigil. State: As my will combines to assist in the furthering of your dominion prince of darkness, so to I ask your blessing on my own desire, that what is embodied in this form be manifest in accordance with my desires as akin, and not contrary, to your own. Praised be Lucifer, glory to Satan! Page 13 of 15

14 Now raise your blade up again so that both arms are upraised. State three times forcefully while the entire symbol flares up into the aethyrs: Praised be Lucifer, glory to Satan! then: Fiat! Fiat! Fiat! Cross your arms over your chest. Close your eyes. Enter into a silence. Open your eyes again and fold the sigil in half. State: Such is sealed. Fold the sigil again and state: Such is committed to the aeythrs! Fold the sigil a third time and state: Such is cast to manifest. Fiat! Now continue the rite as per the Satanic self-dedication rite (in Liber Serpente). Once you have completely finished your ritual and the altar candles have been extinguished, at the soonest opportunity, burn the folded sigil to ashes and scatter them outside to the winds. 15 Afterword This text has intentionally been produced to be a simple and straightforward means for unaffiliated, yet correctly aligned in will and spirit, Satanists to join in a genuine spiritual communion with others of Satanic Gnosticism (Luciferism).
