3 Introduction EGAS is offering four () additional blocks in the context of its concurrent 0 International Bid Round, launched on the th of February 0. By adding these blocks to the formerly offered blocks, EGAS has extended the closing date for all the twelve () blocks until the 0 of July 0. The additional blocks are all located offshore Mediterranean Sea in intermediate to deep water depth setting (00m and 00m) with areal extents ranging between 99 km and km. These blocks are located to the north of numerous gascondensate fields of the NW-SE Temsah- Akhen Trend (e.g., Ha py, Akhen, Temsah, Wakar, Port Fouad Marine PFM, etc...) and The NNW-SSE Abu Madi Trend (e.g., Baltim North, Baltim East, Baltim South, Abu Madi, etc ), as well as to the northeast of the NE- SW Rosetta Trend of gas-condensate fields (e.g. Sienna, Simian, Saphire, Taurus, etc ). The majority of these fields comprise combination structural/stratigraphic traps involving sandstone reservoirs of Pliocene and/or Miocene age. Being located in the above mentioned setting with regard to the major trends of gas-condensate fields, it is likely that the additional blocks may host hydrocarbon occurrences with substantial resources volumes along the extension of these trends. This is in addition to their situation close to some recent Oligocene gas-condensate accumulations with commercial value (e.g. Satis, Salamat & Atoll).

4 Nile Delta Basin Regional Framework The four () additional blocks are also located in the Nile Delta Basin. They are situated directly to the north of the formerly offered blocks, in the central eastern portion of the offshore part of the basin. One of these blocks (Block ) straddles the northern end of the NW-SE trending Misfaq- Bardawil Fault (Temsah Fault). The central and southern parts of this fault host, to the east, numerous gas-condensate fields with mainly Miocene aged reservoirs. The majority of Block (i.e. central and eastern portions), lies in the same geological setting and is likely anticipated to encompass prospective features lying at the extension of the Temsah trend of gas-condensate fields. In addition, Block also lies to the north and west of the recent Oligocene gas-condensate discoveries by (Salamat & Atoll discoveries). Block is traversed by the NE-SW Rosetta Fault Trend which forms part of a longer fault system extending from the Qattara Depression (southwest of the Nile Delta) to the Eratosthenes Seamount at the northeast corner of the Nile Delta Basin. The block is also crossed by a NNW-SSE trending fault system known as the Gulf of Suez (GOS) Trend. Both the Rosetta and GOS fault trends host numerous gas-condensate fields to the southwest and south of the block respectively. These fields of these trends are reservoired in Pliocene and/or Miocene aged sandstones. Block is considered highly prospective due to its geological setting in an area lying on trend with the above mentioned trends of gas-condensate fields. In addition, Block also lies to the northwest of the recent Oligocene gas-condensate discovery by (Satis discovery).

5 Nile Delta Basin Regional Framework (Continued) Blocks and are located in the eastern part of the central portion of the offshore sector of the Nile Delta Basin. The blocks are traversed by minor faults formed by the interplay of the three major trends (Temsah Nile Coastal/Deep Water Sub-Basin (Nile Delta Basin) Fault Trend, Rosetta Fault Trend & Hinge Zone Faults) affecting the Nile Delta Basin. These faults play an Herodotus Basin Levantine Deep Marine Basin important role in shaping the prospectivity of these blocks at the Miocene and Pliocene levels. The two blocks are characterized by the presence at considerable distances to the west and south of the recent major gas discoveries in Israel and Alamein Sub Basin- Nile Delta Basin Syrian Arc Cyprus respectively. In addition, Block lies to the northeast and east of the recent Oligocene gascondensate discoveries by Kattaniya-Qantara High (Syrian Arc) (Salamat & Atoll discoveries).

6 Geological Domains Nile Delta Basin The next map indicates the presence of five main geological domains (Platform, Rotated Fault Blocks, Basin Floor, Diapiric Salt Basin and Inverted Salt Basin) separated by strands of the Basin Floor three major faults (Temsah Fault Trend, Rosetta Fault Trend & E-trending faults delineating the Diapiric Salt Basin Messinian Salt Basin) affecting the Nile Delta Basin. In this setting, Block is entirely located in the Diapiric Salt Basin except for its northeastern corner which lies in the Inverted Salt Basin. Block is entirely located in the Diapiric Salt Basin except for its southwestern corner which lies Platform West Nile cone Platform East in the Platform East. Block is located in the Platform East with most of its areal extent except for the northeastern corner which lies in the Diapiric Salt Basin. Block straddles the boundary (NE-Temsah Fault Trend) between the Platform East and Platform West.
