2 Summary of Technical Experience Exploration and Development Experience: 1. Comprehensive experience from well sitting, wire-line well logging, log interpretation, and reservoir, development, and exploration geology. 2. Worked on supergiant to small oil and gas fields including Cretaceous sandstone reservoirs of Zubair and Ratawi Oil Fields of S. Iraq, fractured Amal quartzite and volcanic reservoirs of Amal and Ora Oil Fields of Sirte Basin Libya, fractured Oligocene reef of Kirkuk Oil Field, N. Iraq, 3. Recent exploration experience of Kirkuk Group, Tanjero, Shiranish, Kometan, Qamchuqa, Garagu and Jurassic reservoirs of NE Iraq and appraisal of Permo- Carboniferous sandstones reservoirs of Oman. 4. Involved in technical evaluating and monitoring OOCEP s joint ventures fields and exploration of OOCEP s Block 42 in Oman. September-November 2012: Senior Exploration Geologist, New-ventures Group. Involved in technical evaluation of OOCEP s new-ventures projects in Oman, Iraq and Europe. March-August 2012: Senior Exploration Geologist, Field Development Group. Involved in appraisal studies of Haushi Group reservoirs within OOCEP s Abu Butabul Field, Block 60 NW Oman. Achievements 1. Interpreted, integrated and compiled multidisciplinary team inputs of geological, sedimentological, geochemical mud gas ratios, petrophysical analysis, seismic structures, seismic reservoirs thickness and properties maps of several Permo-Carboniferous oil and gas reservoirs into series of prospectivity maps of individual reservoir for use in picking appraisal well locations. (Publications 49 to 51in Publications List below). 2. To integrate the above multidisciplinary inputs, I engendered a new unpublished method of integrating multidisciplinary geosciences information into relative prospectivity ranking triangle. (Publication 52). 3. While working on the above Permo-Carboniferous Haushi reservoirs in OOCEP s Abu Butabul Field in Block 60 I spotted additional potential exploration targets within the fields foot-print. One of them is now logged in the current field deep development-drilling programme as potential future appraisal objective. (Publications 53 to 54). 4. Involved in new-ventures technical due diligence reviews including evaluation of a giant oil field in Southern Iraq. (Publication 55). 5. Involved in Joint-ventures technical due diligence reviews including evaluation of 4 cluster fields of Occidental s Block 62, Oman. (Publications 66 to 73) 6. Delivered an in-house presentation to geosciences teams in 11 February 2013 addressing The Importance of Saturation History of Tight Gas Reservoirs, with Reference to Tight Reservoirs in Abu Butabul Field. The presentation was a byproduct of attending course no.46 & conference no.47. The topic was advanced by including an original method to elucidate the structural growth history of tight gas reservoirs in order to identify un-imbibed, high flow zones within present-day trapping closures. (Publications 63 & 74). 7. Prospects generation in sub-ophiolites petroleum system of the Masirah Trough at OOCEP s Block 42, NE Oman. To be selected for this challenging frontiers exploration project is an achievement on its own. (Publications 58 to 61). 8. Basin modelled the charge history with structural closure evolution of Amin reservoir in order to understand the lateral and vertical variations in gas quality and reservoir productivity of Amin reservoir facies at BP s Khazzan-Makarem Field, Block 61; Oman. Updated and improved Target Exploration website with upload and download facilities. Achievements Produced a series of new reports for Target Exploration: 1. Structural Evolution and Petroleum Systems of the Hagfa Trough, Sirte Basin, Libya: Basin modeling study that delineated several closed structural anomalies within and at the flanking highs of this trough at the center of the prolific Sirte Basin. 2. Exploration Potential of Block VI, Northwestern Syria: Direct to the point evaluation of this poorly explored block. 3. Exploration Potential of Block VII, Eastern Syria: Direct to the point evaluation of this well explored block. 4. Presented two abstracts at GEO 10 Conference in Bahrain in March (Publications 192 & 193). 5. Organised MENA 2010 Oil and Gas Conference, and presented two papers at the Conference in London in September (Publication 105). 6. Organised the 3 rd Iraqi Petroleum Conference and presented two papers at the conference in London in September (Publication 106). 7. Presented a paper to EAGE 2 nd Workshop on Heavy Oil and Tar Mat in Bahrain in September (Publication 200). February 2006-October 2009: Specialist Geologist. Sub-surface Team, Research and Technology Group, Kuwait Oil Company, Ahmadi, Kuwait. The R&T Group is the strategic technology gate keeper of KOC. The group resolve urgent technical problems, research and pilot new technologies, aiming at introducing the right technologies at the right time to the right KOC group. April 2008-October 2009: TPL-Specialist Geologist I. Proposed, established and coordinated the KOC Technical Review Committee that included 20 committee members and 20 volunteer reviewers to received and review pre submittal technical abstracts, papers, posters and other external technical submittal by KOC authors. Coordinated near surface geochemical validation survey of seismic gas chimney anomalies in Mutriba Area, NW Kuwait. Coordinated a team of 8 UDs and 8 experts that performed an integrated multidiscipline study of the shallow gas problem of Greater Burgan Oil Field. Worked on sand production problem and mitigating technologies for Kuwaiti oil reservoirs. Member of study group of Burgan Petroleum System to solve the pattern and geometry of heavy oil distribution within the Burgan sandstone reservoirs of Greater Burgan Oil Field. 5/33 P a g e

6 Member of Integrated study of Minagish Oolite reservoir of Minagish Field to assess impact of EOR on reservoirs performance. Member of the E&PD Technical Day Committee. Assessor of in-house subsurface courses. In charge of registering and maintaining registered KOC patents. Achievements 1. Negotiated the survey terms and plan, coordinated to completion the near surface geochemical validation of seismic anomalies of Mutriba Area, NW Kuwait. 2. Coordinated 16 UD and Experts team that studied and resolved the Shallow Gas Problem of Greater Burgan Oil Field. 3. A basin analysis of the Burgan Petroleum System was applied by IES to the generation, migration, charge, remigration, degradation and dissipation of the HC at the Greater Burgan Oil Field to resolve the motive of heavy oil distribution within the Burgan Sandstone reservoirs of Burgan Oil Field. 4. Designed and helped in building a dedicated KOC-TRC Pilot Portal and a Portal for the MoO to upload KOC technical submittals. Received, reviewed, vetted and upgraded 120 intranet technical submittals from 175 KOC authors in the first 4 months of its existence. 5. Selected by the R&T Group as potential KOC speaker on Tar Mats. 6. Presented 9 papers and/or abstracts to local and International conferences. February 2006 March 2008: Specialist Geologist. Worked on mapping Geothermal Gradients of Onshore and Offshore Kuwait. Studied Structural Evolution of Kuwaiti Cretaceous Reservoirs in Onshore and Offshore Kuwait. Evaluating Fractured Reservoirs Programmes and Technologies (FracA software of Beicip Franlab, FracMan software of Golder Associates and Petrel Software of Schlumberger). Studied Tar-mats positions in relation to the structural evolution of Minagish Oolite reservoir in Minagish Field, West Kuwait, and published a poster on the subject. Contributed to Organizing KOC-R&T Knowledge Café in December Attended ARC-GIS I, II and advanced GIS courses of ESRI s Openware. Achievements 1. Generated the regional BHT correction graph of Kuwait. 2. Became the GIS user of the R&T Group. 3. Member of the team that organised the first "Knowledge Café in Kuwait. 4. Published four abstracts and presented three papers on areas in the Middle East and North Africa to two regional conferences and one to a local conference. 5. Prepared with T. Gezeery a poster entitled " Oil below oil/water contacts: Implications on the structural evolution of Minagish Oolite reservoir, Minagish oil field, Kuwait". Presented at Geo 2008 in Bahrain. Produced a series of reports on the geothermal gradient anomalies of hydrocarbon entrapment, in Libya, Iraq, and UKCS of the North Sea, Offshore Nigeria and Louisiana. 4. Produced many geological evaluation reports on fields, area, and basins in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. 5. More than doubled the estimated reserves of a giant oil field in Iraq through leading a G&G team in an integrated reservoirs study. 6. Organised and help in organising several international and local conferences on the Geology, Petroleum Geology and the E&P of the Middle East and North Africa. March October 1991: Contract Geologist. Lasmo Grand Maghreb and Lasmo International Plc, London, UK. Evaluated oil and gas fields in Murzuk and Ghadames basins within a multidisciplinary production feasibility study. Studied and upgraded anomalies to drillable prospects in LASMO-IPL concessions in Sirte basin. Participated in a team of two explorationists in a regional evaluation of Paleozoics potential of northern Africa. Achievements 1. Analysed well data revised and updated geological models and volume of reserves of 96 pay zones in 23 oil and gas fields in Murzuk and Ghadames basins (Publication 22). 2. Generated new areas of interest, re-shaped structural configuration of several basins and delineated hitherto unknown sub-basin in a regional study of the Lower Paleozoic Rocks of North Africa. The study lasted two months and covered Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt (including Sinai), Mali, Niger, Chad, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Sudan (Publication 23). 8 Evaluated reserves and production capacity of areas in the Middle East for CGES. Worked on selected areas in the UKCS. Achievements 1. Wrote a PC programme to analyse geothermal gradients of E&P wells. 2. Collected and analysed BHT data from the DOE North Sea well database, and produced the first non-exclusive report of Target Exploration on Geothermal Gradient Anomalies of hydrocarbon entrapments in southern UK-CS of the North Sea : Staff Geologist. Mobil Oil Libya Ltd/VEBA Oil Operations, Tripoli, Libya Veba Oil took over the shares of Mobil Oil in October September 1987-Feb. 1989: Regional E&D Geologist. Reported to Exploration Manager, co-ordinated with geologists, geophysicists, petroleum reservoir engineers and drilling engineers in Exploration department, Engineering department and liaised with partners, contractors and service companies. Responsible for geological and petrophysical modelling and development of Ora oil field. Responsible for regional geological studies, basin analysis, regional stratigraphic dating and correlation. Responsible for supplying geological background for a regional geochemical source rock study of western Sirte basin, and utilised the results in assessing remaining petroleum potentials of Mobil concessions. Performed trouble shooting of well site problems. Performed computer log analysis of wire-line logs such as: EPT, LDL, NGT, LSS, SHDT, BHTV, RFT etc. Responsible for estimates of undiscovered reserves within VEBA's pre-relinquishment team that re-evaluated Mobil s New Concessions" using Monte Carlo-based programmes. Achievements 1. Collaborated with Robertson Research International (Now Fugro-Robertson Laboratories) in producing a major geochemical source rock study of western Sirte basin. 2. Calibrated results of geochemical source rock study with TTI models and produced basin analysis studies on areas in western and Eastern Sirte basin (Publication 19). 3. Produced through integrating geological, seismic, petrophysical, and reservoir production data a reservoir study of the fractured Sirte group Quartzite reservoir of Ora oil field. The study led to a new approach in developing the Ora field reservoirs and new development well locations (Publication 21). 4. Wrote and presented Mobil Oil s paper to the Third Symposium of the Geology of Libya in 1987 (Publications 122 & 124). August 1986-August 1987: Acting Development Geology Group Superintendent. Responsible for geological reservoir studies, reserves assessment and development drilling. Reported to Exploration Manager and supervised up to ten geologists and geophysicists. Responsible for planning and supplying geological background for regional geochemical source rock study of western Sirte basin. The study performed in collaboration with Robertson Research of Llandudno, Wales. Responsible for geological, structural and estimation of reservoir parameters used in reservoir simulation of Ghani-Zenad Oil Field. 8/33 P a g e

9 Led a geological team within a technical task force for evaluation of "small" and "shutdown" fields in Mobil concessions. Responsible for proposing and planning new seismic surveys and interpretation of new and old seismic acquisitions of field areas in Mobil concessions. Achievements 1. Achieved target number of sampled wells proposed for geochemical source rock analysis via successful liaison with the Libyan NOC and other national oil companies. 2. Successfully updated and/or generated structural configuration, reservoir parameters and estimated remaining reserves of nine oil and gas fields, and contributed to the drilling of six development and appraisal wells. 3. Completed the work of technical task force for evaluation of all "small" and "shutdown" fields within Mobil Oil concessions (Publications 18 & 20). June July 1986: Staff Geologist. Reported to Development Geology Group Superintendent. Supervised a group of four geologists, two geophysicists, and collaborated with three Area Reservoir Engineers in a Technical Task Force for evaluating twenty one small and shut-in oil fields in Mobil concessions. Achievements 1. Led a geological team within a technical task force for evaluation of "small" and "shutdown" fields in Mobil concessions and successfully evaluated or elucidated geometry, reservoir parameters initial and remaining reserves of eight oil fields with a total number of twenty four producing and shut-in reservoirs in Mobil concession Wrote or contributed to15 technical task force reports within one year. (Publications 3 to 17) February 1984-May 1985: Staff Geologist. Reported to Exploration Superintendent, supervised and trained three junior geologists. Performed well site duties, operation geology, and provided computer log analysis of a variety of logs including: CAL, SP, GR, DIL, SFL, MSFL, ILd, ILm, LLs, CNL, FDC, and BHC. The programme includes a variety of cross plots such as HINGLE, PICKETT, M-N, FDC-CNL, etc. Performed a regional prospects generation study of Sirte group sands in Eastern Sirte basin. The study used more than 300 exploration and development wells, seismic, gravity and magnetic records of Mobil Oil Libya, and covered over 170,000 Sq. Km. Achievements 1. Produced a regional study of Sirte group, which outlined over 50 prospects, and areas of interest in eastern Sirte basin. National Oil Corporation uses this study to attract joint ventures as it outlined many areas of interest outside Mobil's concessions. (Publication 2). 2. Contributed to the discovery of oolitic build-up in Farroud reservoir of Ghani Oil Field, which doubled reservoir thickness in parts of the field. 3. Contributed to Mobil's discovery at 4N1-11 in Sirte Basin (which reached a dry primary target at TD) by recognising a un-prognosed, by-passed pay that passed the notice of the mud loggers. August 1982-January 1984: Staff Geologist. Reported to Well Site Supervisor then to Exploration Superintendent. Trained and partially supervised two geologists. Performed well site duties including depth correction, penetration logging, cuttings and core description, core points, packers seats selection for DSTs, chromatography logging, hydrocarbon show analysis, lithological logging and lithological log plotting. Performed quality control of wire-line logs, Drill-Stem Tests and velocity surveys. Reported progress to head office and liaised with drilling rig supervisors. 9/33 P a g e

10 Operation geology duties including final well report writing, preparing drilling proposals and log analysis. Area evaluation studies including Mobil concessions 11, 57, NC 83, NC 84, and porosity-depth relationship of exploration targets in Conc.11/57. Achievements 1. Contributed to Mobil's discovery at well 4L1-11 in Sirte Basin. 2. Recommended additional seismic surveys of concessions 57 and NC 83, which led to upgrading of several anomalies to prospects, and two exploratory drilling in NC : Consultant Geologist. Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Shuwaikh, Kuwait. Planned a regional geological and geochemical source rock study of Kuwait. Worked on generating new exploration plays in Kuwait. Studied Minagish Oolite reservoir of Minagish Oil Field, western Kuwait. Achievements 1. Generated stratigraphic sub-unconformity plays in the Upper Cretaceous of Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. 2. Established a relationship between reservoir quality, water saturation and structural evolution of the Minagish Reservoir of Minagish Oil Field : Assistant Prof./Head of Department of Petroleum Geology. CGG-ESTI: An interactive geothermal gradient analysis and plotting and cross-plotting programme of single well and basin-wide group of wells to identify geothermal gradient/ surface temperature signature of discovery and producing wells, then use the same criteria to identify d un-discovery wells in the area. 12 2. E&P-RANK: An E&P block ranking software developed to rank large number of concessions in one or several basins in single or several countries. Developed while working on assessing and ranking 137 blocks offered in the Libyan round of Based on Ibrahim s (2000). 3. GCA-DM-W&S: Converts C1, C2, C3, C4+ and C5+ drilling mud Gas Chromatographic readings to Wh, Bh, and Ch Gas Ratios ready for plotting as logs against drilling depth. The program interactively interprets the Gas Ratios for potentially productive oil, gas and condensates zones in matrix, fracturedmatrix and fracture-dependent reservoirs using modified Whittaker and Sellens (1987) method. 4. GCA-DM-PX: Converts C1, C2, C3, C4+ and C5+ drilling mud Gas Chromatographic readings to C1/C2, C1/C3, C1/C4+ and C1/C5+ Gas Ratios ready for plotting as cross plots against the four Oil and Gas reservoir domains of Pixler (1969). The program interactively interprets the Gas Ratios for potentially productive oil, gas zones in matrix, fractured-matrix and fracture-dependent reservoirs and lists them against drilling depths using modified Pixler s (1969) parameters GCA-DM: An interactive programme that uses combined modified Pixler s (1969) and Whittaker and Sellens (1987) methods. It lists drilling mud Gas Chromatographic readings, converts and list them as gas ratios. Then interactively interprets the Gas Ratios using both methods for potentially productive oil, gas zones in matrix, fractured-matrix and fracture-dependent reservoirs, and list the results against drilling depths with higher level of certainty. 6. LOG-AND: A bundle of interactive open-hole log analysis programmes for porosity/matrix identification cross-plots and Sw% calculation. Based on Bateman and Konen's (1977). 7. ST-GRTH: Local (one or a group of structures) and regional structural evolution analysis programme to recognise the onset of maturation, migration against the development of local and regional structural closures. Based on Ibrahim's (1981) Developed and maintained the website of Target Exploration Consultants Present. 9. KOC-TRC PILOT PORTAL: Designed and developed by T.
