1 Sylvia T. Cole Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution 266 Woods Hole Road, MS # / Clark 307 Woods Hole, MA RESEARCH INTERESTS I study processes that transport energy or affect the advection and diffusion of active and passive tracers throughout the ocean. I especially focus on the dynamics occurring at smaller spatial scales and sub-daily to seasonal time scales. I investigate these processes using observations of turbulence, internal waves, mesoscale and submesoscale features, and thermohaline structure in the Arctic Ocean and global ocean.
