8 The Australian Challenge The AURIN Solution Rapid population growth and under-planning of its cities. Surprisingly little integrated infrastructure for complex information / open data processing Policy-based evidence approaches more than Evidence-based policy approaches in government and research agendas. More data, but often with lower explanatory power about the underlying decisions and behaviours of city users There are still some significant issues with Open Data : data representativeness and inclusion; trust and privacy; State and corporate control and manipulation; and the blind trust in imperfect algorithms.
