Prof. Dr. Hamdi TEMEL Web-Site: Research Interest: The synthesis and expanded characterization of various kind Schiff base ligand have been the important research interest for us. Complexation ability and the other application properties in physics and biology maintain the investigation of them. Optical and electrical properties, antibacterial and antifungal properties, and DNA cleavage experiments can be given as examples of different usability. The polymer study of the Schiff base ligands is also a novel interest in this field. The polymerization is conducted with sodium hypochloride media in 10 % of KOH. The polymer structure is proved with diverse techniques such as FTIR, GPS, and TGA etc.
The Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reactions and transfer hydrogenation are one of the main research subjects for our research team. The catalytic activities of compounds are really important mission for the industrial developments. Organic inorganic hybrid heterojunctions are also fabricated by forming thin films of ruthenium(ii) complexes on n-si and evaporation of Au as front contact. Current voltage (I V) characteristics of the structures show excellent rectification properties. Electrical parameters including ideality factor, barrier height and series resistance are determined using I V and capacitance voltage (C V) data. Boron compounds and its derivatives are the recent experiments. The synthesis and characterization of boronic acid compounds with ligands have been investigating since The main goal of our study is to increase the usability of boron resources in Turkey which has 70 % of total in the world.
Environmental protection against harmful and toxic contaminants is one of the most significant research interests under current conditions in human life. So that our research team work also for the adsorption of heavy metals such Cu, Co, Cd by natural and modified humic acid compounds. Also the complexation ability is illuminated. The main goal of the group is having a multidisciplinary study with different areas. Schiff base and their transition complexes, monomer and polymer structures of ligands, boron derivative compounds, ionic liquids, biodegradable materials can be summarized for the top of the experiments. A new structural approach to studying compounds with LC-MS IT-TOF The HamdiTemel s research lab combines most of the high technological instruments to get expanded characterization and analysis for all compounds and materials. For this purpose the newly joined LC-MS IT-TOF has been using the exact structure analysis with the general formula of any expected compounds. It has really high resolution, sensitivity and
precision. It can also be used for clinical tests, food analysis and pharmaceutical investigations. Res. Assist. Mehmet Salih SEYİTOĞLU om Web-Site: aspx?pname=+mehmet+salih+seyitoglu &birim=qwe345th&personel=28824a9 6-d73b ac-

Res. Assist. Salih PAŞA Web-Site: dex.php?orta=goster2&gsn=5155&biri m=7&bolum=8&altbolum=3 Research Interest: The ligands of thio Schiff bases and their transition metal complexes have been widely investigated and there is currently considerable interest in the coordination chemistry of polydentate ligands of multifaceted importance and their metal complexes; analytical applications, synthetic utility and biological activity are of special interest to chemists. Palladium complexes of some (N,O,S) and (N,O,P) type ligands as they have both type of donor sites, are already known to show catalytic activity in Suzuki coupling reactions. And also organic compounds have been used in the fabrication semiconductor devices due to their unusual electrical, optical, and magnetic properties. Organic inorganic (OI) semiconductor devices formed by organic compounds grown on inorganic substrates have extensively been investigated by many researchers for their potential usage in electronic and optoelectronic technologies.
Boronic acid is one of the unique boric acids bearing alkyl or aryl substituted carbon-boron bonds of the organoboranes. Boronic acids act as Lewis acids. As a most distinguished aspect of them is the ability to make reversible covalent bonds with sugars, amino acids, hydroxamic acids(r-co-nh-oh) or substituted Lewis base donors (alcohols, amines, carboxylates etc.) Boron based compounds (boric acid, boronic acid, sodium borohydride etc.) and their derivatives with various organic ligands have been our one of the most important research subjects. The applicability of the compounds in physical experiments, pharmacy in the accordance of the spectroscopic data and aldo the antimicrobial, optical and electrical applications encourage us to focus on this field. It has also been working of the toxic heavy metals from water with adsorption process by using humic acid and the zeolite compounds. These studies are the sub research of us that is conducted by the colloborative partner of Kazakh-British Technical Univeristy under the supervision of Dr. Temel.
The single crystal experiments of obtained compounds during the experiments are also studied. The exact structure of the crystal data is collected by using a BRUKER APEX II CCD detector with graphite crystal monochromated Mo Kα radiation from K780 X-ray generator operating at 50 kv and 40 ma. The structure is solved by direct methods using SHELXS-97 and refined against F 2 by full matrix leastsquares using SHELXL-97.
