1 Science 8: Chemistry Course Sequence all Semester Period 9: off day Tuesday (62 days) Course Expectations: 1. Homework for each day is listed in the last column of the weekly schedule. e assignments are due at the beginning of the next class period. 2. You have purchased a textbook. It will be used for nightly reading and comprehension assignments. Answers to assigned questions will be written on notebook paper with your name, date, period and page # written in the upper left corner. 3. e symbol (P) means that this paper was given to you the first day of the class and should be in your science notebook. 4. Before each lab is conducted in class students should read the purpose and procedure of the experiment before coming to class as well as complete the hypothesis. 5. Lab reports are due no later than the next class period. Some will be due the day they are performed. ost labs must include an ESN paragraph. (Explain purpose, Summarize data, New ideas). 6. Various study techniques are incorporated into each chapter to help students prepare. Use of these techniques will be included on the unit tests. 7. Students should obtain a calculator for this course. 8. hen a student misses class, the student is responsible for getting notes from a classmate and completing worksheets as soon as possible. issed labs must be completed in the lab with your teacher present.
