5 n Performance Characteristics l lectrical Characteristics Test Method Specifications Standard Test Condition Maximum allowable Voltage Varistor voltage Capacitance Maximum peak current Maximum SD Temperature coefficient Varistor Voltage Temperature coefficient capacitance Unless otherwise specified all test and measurements shall be made at a temperature of 15 to 35 C and at a relative humidity of 45 to 75 %RH. If results obtained are doubted a further test should be carried out at a temperature of 2± 2 C and a relative humidity of 6 to 7 %RH. The maximum DC voltage that can be applied continuously in the specified operating temperature. The voltage between two terminals with the specified measuring current Cm DC applied is called Vc or Vcm. The measurement shall be made as fast as possible to avoid heat affection. Capacitance shall be measured with the specified measuring frequency,.2 to 2. Vms., V bias and 2 C. The Maximum current within the varistor voltage change of ± % when a standard impulse current of 8/2 ms is applied two times with an interval of 5 minutes. The maximum SD within the varistor voltage change of ±3% when impressing times of SD (five times of positivenegatives for each polarity) which is based on IC6-4-2 Coefficient indicating dependency of V-I characteristics on temperature. Use the specified soldering flux and solder following: Soldering Flux: thanol solution of rosin about 25 % by weight Solder: utectic solder (Sn 63 : Pb 37) fter preheating the specimen according to the following conditions in Table-1, the specimen shall be completely immersed into a soldering bath having a temperature of 27±5 C for 3±.5 seconds. nd then be stored at room temperature for 24±2 hours. Thereafter, the change of Vc and the mechanical damage shall be examined.
