This provides knowledge and understanding of the basic chemical, physical properties and evolution of the celestial objects and other cosmic phenomena. The course covers the topics/units such as Stars, Galaxies, The Universe, The Solar system, and Observing and Exploring Space.

Search for relevant information of the constellation and classification of stars and their properties and explain the /Standard speed of light and the concept of light years and to outline and explain the chronological life cycle of a star. 2. Explain properties and structure of different galaxies and other heavenly objects in the galaxy /Standard 3. Explain nature and evolution of fixed stars and universe /Standard 4. Explain formation and evolution of the solar system /Standard 5. Knowledge of Inner planets and their physical and chemical properties and characteristics /Standard 6. Describe the key features of the Outer planets /Standard 7. Knowledge, properties and characteristics of other objects in the solar system /Standard Explain the use of electromagnetic spectrum in exploring universe and types of telescopes /Standard Search for relevant information and explain the launching of satellites, and calculate the velocity of satellites revolving /Standard 7.2 around the Earth. 10.
