1 6 3 rd International Conferene on Mehanial, Industrial, and Manufaturing Engineering (MIME 6) ISB: Researh on Comonents Charateristis of Single Container Frition oist irong Xie, Jing Cheng, Peng u Eletrial Engineering College of Xinjiang University, Urumqi, 8347 ijun Xu Xinjiang Institute of Engineering, Xinjiang Urumqi, 833 ABSTRACT: To imrove the system of a single ontainer multi roe frition, from the oint of view of safety onditions, based on Euler formula, ombined with dimensionless method, the stati tension ratio analysis and researh into the system, draws a single ontainer frition hoisting system Comonents harateristis of stati tension ratio C, in order to exlore omonents onfiguration of the system and anti-skid, rovides a simle, onvenient, and reliable theoretial basis. COMPOETS OF MUTI-ROPE FRICTIO OIST SYSTEM Frition hoist system an be divided into doublevessel frition hoist and single-vessel frition hoist system. Double-vessel frition hoist system, is generally used for single level (layer) lifting only, and single-vessel frition hoist system an be used for multile levels (layers) lifting. Single-vessel frition hoist with ounterweight for balane an omlete the task of multile levels (layers) lifting with highly leveling reision required, without being affeted by elongation or shorten of the roe aused by added or lessen load [,3]. owever, the onveyane quantity will also be halved given the same oeration seed omared with doubled-vessel frition hoist. There are tower tye and floor-well tye of frition hoist. The tower tye an be divided into sub-tye with oriented ulley and sub-tye without oriented ulley. The tower tye frition hoist with oriented ulley floor-well tye of frition hoist are omosed of frition ulley, hoisting roe, oriented ulley, hoisting vessel, balane ounterweight and balane roe, as shown in fig. Figure. Mode of multi-roe frition system. (a)tower tye (b) Floor-well tye SYMBO DEFIITIO DESCRIPTIO. Atual arameter definition Plenty of arameters are involved in double-vessel frition hoist system. Symbols involved are defined as follows: () Vessel deadweight (kg), Rated load (kg), The maximum and the minimum stati tension of the frition ulley TandT. () oisting roe arameters: umber of hoisting roe n; Weight of roe er meter (kg/m); Ultimate length of susension hoisting roe o (m); eight of susension hoisting roe (m).. Dimensionless relative arameter definition A roer value should be seleted as the based value first, and then the dimensionless relative arameters are defined as: 5
2 Vessel deadweight oeffiient ere, was seleted as the based value. Weight oeffiient of susension hoisting roe n.eight oeffiient of susension hoisting roe h. 3 DETERMIATIO OF BAACE COUTERWEIGT COEFFICIET P In order to redue the unbalaned tension of two sides of the frition ulley and the torque of driving motor and to enhane the frition fore, the singlevessel frition hoist must be equied with balane ounterweight. So it is imortant to roerly determine the balane ounterweight oeffiient. The balane ounterweight was suosed to balane the deadweight of hoisting vessel and art of the rated load weight. There are two asets needed to make ertain, they are: () The margin of unbalaned tension of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is full-loaded should be equivalent to that when the vessel is load-free. Only in this way is the ower of the tration motor smallest [9]. ()The stati tension ratio of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is fullloaded should be equivalent to that when the vessel is load-free. ikewise, the weight of the hoist system is the least []. The theoretial foundation of antiskid is Euler's formula T f α T e. 3. Equal unbalaned tension margin rinile In ondition that the margin of unbalaned tension of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is full-loaded is equivalent to that when the vessel is load-free, the balane ounterweight oeffiient an be determined by means followed: () The margin of unbalaned stati tension while the vessel is load-free is : T T ( + + n ) ( + n ) () () The margin of unbalaned stati tension while the vessel is full-loaded is : T ) T ( + + n ) ( + + n ) ( () Sine the margin of unbalaned tension of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is full-loaded and when the vessel is load-free are already figured out, the balane ounterweight oeffiient an be figured out (.5), other arameters are irrelevant. 3. Equal stati tension ratio rinile In ondition that the stati tension ratio of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is full-loaded is equivalent to that when the vessel is load-free, the balane ounterweight oeffiient an be determined by means followed: () The stati tension ratio of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is load-free is: + + n (3) + n The susension weight oeffiient of load-free vessel side is: + n (4) () The stati tension ratio of hoisting roe on two sides of the frition ulley when the vessel is full-load is: + + n + + n (5) The susension weight oeffiient of the loadfree vessel side is: + n + h h (6) By making the value of stati tension ratio figured out by equation (3) equivalent to that figured out by equation (5),we have: + (7) The relationshi between and determined by equation (7) an be demonstrated in fig Figure. If the weight of minimum height oeffiient of hoisting roe, whih hoisting roe er meter seleted is roerly a little bit heavier than the alulated value then the safety oeffiient of hoisting roe get inreased. The value of will derease as well, and given the onstant is the minimum height ermitted in aliation onsidering the safety of the hoist system. 4. The minimum vessel deadweight value of, h will inrease, resulting in the By equation (8) the vessel deadweight an be dereased value of ; figured out: () The value of will also derease as that of h inreases. If the seleted vessel deadweight is () heavier than alulated, then the value of will It shows that: derease as that of inreases ()When is onstant, the value of will (3) The value of was seleted to be the derease as that of h dereases; maximum one allowable within the boundary onditions onsidering non-skid safety of the system. In order to make the value of by equation () is the minimum value of vessel onstantly to be the maximum value allowable, the deadweight, whih is the minimum value of vessel alulation in design and the seletion of hoisting deadweight ermitted onsidering the safety of the roe should be omleted above all, and after the hoist system. determination of the value of h the vessel 4.3 Other system omonents dimensionless relative deadweight an be alulated and determined. In addition, *. 5 COCUSIO By the introdution of stati tension ratio, four forms of mathematial model of single-vessel frition hoist omonents quality was established. A onlusion has been reahed that the omonent quality of single-vessel frition hoist inreases as vessel deadweight oeffiient or height oeffiient of susension hoisting roe inrease, and dereases as the stati tension ratio inreases. Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that quality of system omonent reahes to its minimum value if the stati tension ratio equals to the maximum value ermitted onsidering non-skid boundary onditions. 6 ACOWEDGMET This researh is sonsored by the ational ature Siene Foundation of China (numbered 56436).
