(2010). BIOGRAPHY AND CAREER: Professor Viktor Andreevich Bazhenov was born on July 12, 1941 in Gorodnya of Chernihiv region, Ukraine. EDUCATION: Graduated from the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute (Construction department), Ukraine, PhD (Structural Mechanics), Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute, Dr. Techn. Sciences (Mechanics of Deformable Solids), Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute, Ukraine, Professor of Structural Mechanics, Awarded the title of Academician of the Ukraine National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Ukraine, Works at the Kyiv Civil Engineering Institute (now Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture /KNUCA/) since Supervised for 22 PhD and 8 DSc researches. POSITIONS at the KNUCA: Vice-rector on scientific work (since 1986 till 1988), First vice-rector (since 1988 till 2015), Head of the Chair of Structural Mechanics (since 1989 till present), Director of Scientific Research Institute of Structural Mechanics (since1992 till present). HONORS AND ACTIVITIES: Member of the Ukraine National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences (2010).
