SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS FOR MULTILINEAR MAXIMAL FUNCTIONS AND CALDERÓN-ZYGMUND OPERATORS arxv:2.55v [math.ca] 2 Nov 202 WENDOLÍN DAMIÁN, ANDREI K. LERNER, AND CARLOS PÉREZ Abstract. In ths aer we rove some shar weghted norm nequaltes for the multsublnear maxmal functon M ntroduced n [8] and for multlnear Calderón-Zygmund oerators. In artcular we obtan a shar mxed A A bound for M, some artal results related to a Buckley-tye estmate for M, and a suffcent condton for the boundedness of M between weghted L saces wth dfferent weghts takng nto account the recse bounds. Next we get a bound for multlnear Calderón-Zygmund oerators n terms of dyadc ostve multlnear oerators n the srt of the recent work [6]. Then we obtan a multlnear verson of the A 2 conecture. Several oen roblems are osed.. Introducton The modern theory of weghted norm nequaltes for some of the man oerators n Harmonc Analyss orgnated n the begnnng of the 70 s n the works by R. Hunt, B. Muckenhout, R. Wheeden, R. Cofman and C. Fefferman. In artcular, t wasrealzed thatthekey rolenths theoryslayed by theso-called A condton. Much later, the queston about the shar deendence of the L w oerator norm n term of the the A constant or characterstc of the weght aeared. Frst, for the Hardy-Lttlewood maxmal oerator ths roblem was solved by S. Buckley [2]. It turned out that for sngular ntegrals the queston s much more comlcated. In [2], S. Petermchl solved t for the Hlbert transform. Recently, T. Hytönen [9] gave a comlete soluton for general Calderón-Zygmund oerators solvng the so-called A 2 conecture. A bt later ths result was mroved n [2] n the case = 2 and for general n [0]. A further mrovement was obtaned n [] where a non-robablstc roof was found together wth a q-varaton estmate. We refer to these aers for a more detaled hstory and for some other closely related results lke.3. Theamofthsaerstogvesomemultlnear analoguesoftheabovementoned results n the srt of the theory of multle weghts develoed recently n [8]. We ntroduce some notaton. Gven f = f,...,f m, we defne the multsublnear 200 Mathematcs Subect Classfcaton. 42B20, 42B25. Key words and hrases. Multlnear maxmal oerator, Calderón-Zygmund theory, shar weghted bounds.
2 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ maxmal oerator M by M f x = su x f y dy, wherethesuremum stakenoverallcubescontanng x. Itsshownnthataer that ths oerator controls n several ways the class of multlnear Calderón-Zygmund oerators see secton 2.2. A artcular nstance of ths ntmate relatonsh s the class of weghts characterzng the weghted L saces for whch both oerators are bounded. To defne ths class of weghts we let w = w,...,w m and P =,..., m. Set = + + m and ν w = m w/. We say that w satsfes the A P condton f [ w] A P = su ν w m / w <. It s easy to see that n the lnear case that s, f m = [ w] A P = [w] A s the usual A constant. In [8] the followng multlnear extenson of the Muckenhout A theorem for the maxmal functon was obtaned: the nequalty. M f L ν w C f L w holds for every f f and only f w satsfes the A P condton. The frst queston we are gong to study s the queston about the shar deendence of C n.. In the standard stuaton, namely when m =, two dfferent tyes of shar weghted nequaltes for the Hardy-Lttlewood maxmal oerator M are known. Frst, Buckley s theorem [2] says that for any < <,.2 M L w C n, [w] A. Untl very recently ths result was thought to be shar snce the exonent of [w] A cannot be mroved. However, recently T. Hytönen and the thrd author [2] see also [3] for another roof showed that.2 can be mroved n the followng way. Defne the A constant of w by [w] A = su Mwχ. w Ths defnton goes back to the characterzaton of the A class of weghts gven by N. Fu [7] see also M. Wlson [22]. It s not dffcult to show that [w] A c n [w] Ar for any r. It was shown n [2] that.3 M L w C n, [w] A [σ] A /, where σ = w. Ths estmate mles.2 snce [σ] A c[σ] A = c[w] A, and therefore [w] A [σ] A / c[w] A.
SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS 3 Our multlnear results related to.2 and.3 are somewhat surrsng. They show that contrary to the case m =, multlnear versons of.2 and.3 are ndeendent of each other. We are able to get a full analogue of.3. However such an analogue does not yeld an exected full analogue of.2. Our frst man result s the followng. Theorem.. Let < <, =,...,m and = m. Then the nequalty.4 M f m L ν w C n,m, P [ w] A P [σ ] A f L w holds f w A P, where σ = w, =,...,m. Furthermore the exonents are shar n the sense that they cannot be relaced by smaller ones. Even though the result of ths theorem s shar t would be of nterest to fnd an extenson of Buckley s estmate.2. However ths task seems to be more comlcated. Currently we can get only several artal results exressed n the followng theorem. Theorem.2. Let < <, =,...,m and = m. Denote by α = α,..., m the best ossble ower n.5 M f m L ν w C n,m, [ w] α A P f L w. Then we have the followng results: for all <,..., m <, m m α f = 2 = = m = r >, then α = m r. + m ; It s easy to see that the uer and lower bounds for α n concde f m =. The uer bound for α n s a corollary of Theorem. after an alcaton of Lemma 3. see secton 3. However, n the case of α concdes wth the lower bound n. Ths says that f m 2, then the uer bound n s not shar, n general. Hence, contrary to the lnear stuaton,.4 cannot be used n order to get a shar bound n terms of [ w] A P. Perhas, the exlanaton of ths s that the rght-hand sde of.4 nvolves m + ndeendent surema whle the defnton of [ w] A P nvolves only one suremum or else Lemma 3. s not shar. Resumng, the roblem of fndng the shar α n.5 remans oen excet the case consdered n. We also gve a suffcent condton for the two-weghted boundedness of M wth recse bounds generalzng the corresondng lnear result from [20] and ts multlnear counterart n [9]. Let X be a Banach functon sace. By X we denote the assocate sace to X. Gven a cube, defne the X-average of f over and
4 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ the maxmal oerator M X by f X, = τ l fχ X, M X fx = su f X,, x where l denotes the sde length of and where τ δ f = fδx, δ > 0,x R n. Theorem.3. Let < <, =,...,m and = m. Let X be a Banach functon sace such that M X s bounded on L R n. Let u and v,...,v m be the weghts satsfyng Then K = su u M f L u C n,m K v / X, <. M X L R n f L v. Ths result can be seen as a two weght verson of.4 when consderng functon saces X gven by X = L r for <,r < so that M X L R n = M r L R n r /. Another nterestng examle s gven when consderng the Orlcz sace sace X = L B where B s a Young functon for whch M X L R n = M B L R n s fnte. In artcular f Bt = t loge+t +δ, δ > 0, < < t follows from [20] that M X L R n = M B L R n δ /. We turn now to some multlnear analogues of the shar weghted results for sngular ntegrals. Frst, we recall some lnear results. Let T be a Calderón-Zygmund oerator. Then t was roved by T. Hytönen [9] n full generalty that.6 T L w C T,n, [w] max, A < <. Observe that t suffces to rove.6 n the case = 2; then for any other the result follows by the shar extraolaton theorem. Note also that.6 n the case = 2 was usually referred as the A 2 conecture. In two recent aers [6, 7] a dfferent roof of.6 was found by the second author. Ths roof shows that there s an ntmate relatonsh between the contnuous sngular ntegral T and some very secal dyadc tye oerators. These oerators are defned by means of the concet of sarseness. Gven a sarse famly S = { k } of cubes from a dyadc grd D, these notons wll be defned n Secton 2. we consder the oerator A S,D defned by A S,D fx =,k f k χ k x.
SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS 5 It was roved n [6, 7] that for any Banach functon sace X,.7 Tf X c T,n su A S,D f X. S,D A rather smle argument found n [3] shows that A S,D L 2 w c[w] A2. Therefore f X = L 2 w, then.7 mles.6 for = 2. The second man result of ths aer s an extenson of.7 to the multlnear settng. Here, the dyadc oerator that aears naturally s a multlnear verson of the oerator A D,S gven by A D,S f x =,k m f k χ k x. Gven f = f,...,f m, denote f = f,..., f m. Theorem.4. Let T f be a multlnear Calderón-Zygmund oerator and let X be a Banach functon sace over R n equed wth Lebesgue measure. Then, for any arorate f, T f X c T,m,n su A D,S f X, D,S where the suremum s taken over arbtrary dyadc grds D and sarse famles S D. Smlarly to the lnear case, we would lke to aly ths result when X = L ν w. However, the exonent s allowed to be smaller than one, to be more recse /m < < see secton 2.2. Therefore, f /m < <, Theorem.4 cannot be aled snce n ths case the sace L ν w s not a Banach sace. Ths rases an nterestng queston whether the condton n Theorem.4 that X s a Banach sace can be relaxed untl that X s a quas-banach sace. It s natural to consder frst ths queston n the lnear stuaton. Observe that n the current roof of.7 the fact that X s a Banach sace was essental. The thrd man result of ths aer can be seen as a multlnear verson of the A 2 conecture.6. Indeed, one of the man results obtaned n [8] s that f w A P, then an analogue of. holds wth T f nstead of M f. Hence, the queston about the shar deendence on [ w] A P n the corresondng nequalty s qute natural. It s nterestng that contrary to the lnear stuaton where.7 mles the A 2 conecture, we are currently able to aly Theorem.4 only n one artcular case beng the content of the followng theorem. Theorem.5. Let T f be a multlnear Calderón-Zygmund oerator. Assume that = 2 = = m = m+. Then.8 T f m L ν w C T,m,n [ w] A P f L w.
6 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ Several remarks about ths result are n order. As we already mentoned, Theorem.5 can be regarded as a multlnear A 2 conecture. However, t s natural to ask how to extend t to all < <. Ths leads to several nterestng roblems. As we exlaned above,.6 can be obtaned from the case = 2 by the shar verson of the extraolaton theorem of Rubo de Franca obtaned n [5] see also [6] or [4] for dfferent and smler roofs. It would be very desrable to get a multlnear analogue of ths result. Havng such an analogue, nequalty.8 robably would be a startng ont to extraolate from. Observe, however, that.6 can be roved also wthout the use of extraolaton. Indeed, one can easly rove.6 wth A D,S nstead of T for all < < as t was done n [3] for = 2, and then aly.7 wth X = L w. The roof of.6 for A D,S s very close n srt to the roof of Buckley s nequalty.2 found n [4]. Hence, t s natural to ask whether t s ossble to fnd a smlar roof for a multlnear verson of A D,S. But ths leads to a roblem of fndng α n Theorem.2 by the method n [4]. Part of Theorem.2 ndeed obtaned by an adataton of ths method. However how to do that n the case of dfferent s not clear. The aer s organzed as follows. Some relmnares are contaned n Secton 2. In Secton 3 we rove all theorems related to M. Secton 4 s devoted to the roof of Theorem.4. Fnally, Theorem.5 s roved n Secton Prelmnares 2.. Dyadc grds. Recall that the standard dyadc grd nr n conssts of the cubes 2 k [0, n +, k Z, Z n. Denote the standard grd by D. By a general dyadc grd D we mean a collecton of cubes wth the followng roertes: for any D ts sdelength l s of the form 2 k,k Z; R {,R, } for any,r D; the cubes of a fxed sdelength 2 k form a artton of R n. We say that { k } s a sarse famly of cubes f: the cubes k are dsont n, wth k fxed; f Ω k = k, then Ω k+ Ω k ; Ω k+ k 2 k. Wth each sarse famly { k } we assocate the sets Ek = k \Ω k+. Observe that the sets E k are arwse dsont and k 2 Ek. Gven a cube 0, denote by D 0 the set of all dyadc cubes wth resect to 0, that s, the cubes from D 0 are formed by reeated subdvson of 0 and each of ts descendants nto 2 n congruent subcubes. Observe that f 0 D, then each cube from D 0 wll also belong to D. We wll use the followng rooston from [2]. Prooston 2.. There are 2 n dyadc grds D α such that for any cube R n there exsts a cube α D α such that α and l α 6l.
SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS 7 Lemma 2.2. For any non-negatve ntegrable f, =,...,m, there exst sarse famles S α D α such that for all x R n, Proof. Frst, by Prooston 2., M f 2n x 2 2 n m A Dα,S α f x. α= α= 2. M f 2n mn x 6 M Dα f x. Consder M d f taken wth resect to the standard dyadc grd. We wll use exactly the same argument as n the Calderón-Zygmund decomoston. For c n whch wll be secfed below and for k Z consder the sets Ω k = {x R n : M d f x > c k n }. Then we have that Ω k = k, where the cubes k fxed, and m c k n < f k 2 mn c k n. From ths and from Hölder s nequalty, k Ω k+ = k+ l k+ l k < c k+ m n c k+ m n k+ l k k k+ l are arwse dsont wth k f /m f /m 2 n c /m n k. Hence, takng c n = 2 mn+, we obtan that the famly { k } s sarse, and M d f x 2 mn+ A D,S f x. Alyng the same argument to each M Dα f and usng 2., we get the statement of the lemma Multlnear Calderón-Zygmund oerators. Let T be a multlnear oerator ntally defned on the m-fold roduct of Schwartz saces and takng values nto the sace of temered dstrbutons, T : SR n SR n S R n. We say that T s an m-lnear Calderón-Zygmund oerator f, for some q <, t extends to a bounded multlnear oerator from L q L qm to L q, where
8 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ = q q + + q m, and f there exsts a functon K, defned off the dagonal x = y = = y m n R n m+, satsfyng Tf,...,f m x = Kx,y,...,y m f y...f m y m dy...dy m R n m for all x m = su f, and Ky 0,y,...,y m m k,l=0 Ky 0,...,y,...,y m Ky 0,...,y,...,y m A mn, y k y l A y y ǫ m mn+ǫ, y k y l for some ǫ > 0 and all 0 m, whenever y y 2 max y y k. 0 k m It was shown n [8] that f r + + r m =, then an m-lnear Calderón-Zygmund r oerator satsfes T : L r R n L rm R n L r R n when < r < for all =,,m. Smlarly f r for all =,,m, we have k,l=0 2.2 T : L R n L R n L /m, R n 2.3. A local mean oscllaton decomoston. The non-ncreasng rearrangement of a measurable functon f on R n s defned by f t = nf{α > 0 : {x R n : fx < α} < t} 0 < t <. Gven a measurable functon f on R n and a cube, the local mean oscllaton of f on s defned by ω λ f; = nf f cχ λ 0 < λ <. c R By a medan value of f over we mean a ossbly nonunque, real number m f such that max {x : fx > m f }, {x : fx < m f } /2. It s easy to see that the set of all medan values of f s ether one ont or the closed nterval. In the latter case we wll assume for the defnteness that m f s the maxmal medan value. Observe that t follows from the defntons that 2.3 m f fχ /2.
SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS 9 Gven a cube 0, the dyadc local shar maxmal functon m #,d λ; 0 f s defned by m #,d λ; 0 fx = su ω λ f;. x D 0 The followng theorem was roved n [6] ts very smlar verson can be found n [5]. Theorem 2.3. Let f be a measurable functon on R n and let 0 be a fxed cube. Then there exsts a ossbly emty sarse famly of cubes k D 0 such that for a.e. x 0, fx m f 0 4m #,d 2 n+2; 0 fx+2 k, ω 2 n+2f;k χ k x Banach functon saces. For a general account of Banach functon saces we refer to [, Ch. ]. We menton only several notons whch wll be used below. The assocate sace X conssts of measurable functons f for whch f X = su fxgx dx <. g X R n Ths defnton mles the followng Hölder nequalty: 2.4 fxgx dx f X g X. R n Further [,. 3], 2.5 f X = su fxgx dx. g X = R n 3. Proof of Theorems.,.2 and.3 In the roof of Theorem. we shall use the followng reverse Hölder roerty of A weghts roved n [2]: f w A, then /rw 3. w rw 2 w, where rw = + τ n[w] A and τ n = 2 +n. Observe that r w [w] A. Proof of Theorem.. By 2., t suffces to rove the theorem for the dyadc maxmal oerators M Dα. Snce the roof s ndeendent of the artcular dyadc grd, wthout loss of generalty we consder M d taken wth resect to the standard dyadc grd D. Let a = 2 mn+. and Ω k = {x R n : M d f x > a k }. We have seen n the roof of Lemma 2.2 that Ω k = k, where the famly {k } s sarse and
0 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ a k < m f k k 2 nm a k. It follows that M d f ν w dx = M d f ν w dx R n k Ω k \Ω k+ a m k k, f dy ν w k k a m k k, f w w dy ν w k k a α α k k, f α w dy k k k w α dy α ν w k, where α = r and r s the exonent n the shar reverse Hölder nequalty 3. for the weghts σ whch are n A for =,...,m. Alyng 3. for each σ, we obtan M d f ν w dx a R n k, 2 k k C[ w] A P k, k k σ ν w k k α α f α w dy k α α f α w dy k. Let E k be the sets assocated wth the famly {k }. Usng the roertes of Ek and Hölder s nequalty wth the exonents /, we get M d f ν w dx 2C[ w] A P R k n k, k 2C[ w] A P M f α w 2C[ w] A P k, E k R n m 2C[ w] A P M f α w R n M α α f y α w dy E k α f α w α α dx α α dx α dx.
From ths and by the boundedness of M, R n M d f ν w dx C[ w] A P SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS /α f α w α m C[ w] A P r f L w m C[ w] A P [σ ] A f L w, α Lα R n where n next to last nequalty we have used that /α r and n the last nequalty we have used that r [σ ] A, for =,...,m. Ths comletes the roof of.4. Let us show now the sharness of the exonents n ths nequalty. Assume that n = and 0 < ε <. Let w x = x ε It s easy to check that ν w = x εm, and f x = x +ε χ 0, x, =,...,m. 3.2 [ w] A P = [ν w ] Am /ε m and [σ ] A C ε. Also, 3.3 f L w = /ε /. Let f = x +ε χ 0, x. Then the left-hand sde of.4 can be bounded from below as follows: 3.4 M f L ν w = Mf m L m ν w /εm f m L m ν w = /εm+/. On the other hand, by 3.2 and 3.3, the rght-hand sde of.4 s at most /ε m+/. Snce ε s arbtrary, ths shows that the exonents / and / on the rght-hand sde of.4 cannot be relaced by smaller ones. In order to get an uer bound for α n art of Theorem.2, we shall need the followng techncal lemma. Its roof follows the same lnes as the roof of [8, Th. 3.6]. Lemma 3.. Let < <, =,...,m and = m. If w A P, then [σ ] A C[ w] / A P. Proof. It was shown n [8, Th. 3.6] that f w A P, then σ A m. Our goal now s to check that 3.5 [σ ] Am [ w] / A P.
2 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ Snce [σ ] A C[σ ] Am, 3.5 would mly the statement of the lemma. Fx m, and defne the numbers q = m + Snce m q = usng Hölder nequalty, we obtan m w q w From ths, Snce we obtan w = w w and q = m m +/ + w [ w [ w q w / q q q = q w [ w / w / w / m,, /q m, /q m m, q,. / =, w q, m + q m + q m w / m w, w / /q. w w =, / ] /q q /q ] w.. / ] q

Combnng 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 wth M f m L ν w C[ w] α A P f L w, we obtan m+/ αm +/ whch yelds α m. m Further, by Theorem. and Lemma 3., α + m Ths comletes the roof of art. = = + m w. Suose now that = 2 = = m = r. Then = r/m, ν w = Denote m r /m, A P w; = ν w σ where σ = w r. Set also M σ f x = su x f. σ m = w /m. WewllfollowthemethodoftheroofofBuckley stheoremgvenn[4]. From ths, usng Hölder s nequalty and the boundedness of the weghted dyadc maxmal oerator wth the mlct constant ndeendent of the weght, we obtan.

But f r = 2 = = m = r, then m = m. Hence, m r usng art, we get that α = m r. Proof of Theorem.3. We start exactly as n the roof of Theorem.. It suffces to rove the man result for M d. Let Ω k = {x R n : M d f x > a k } = k, where a = 2 mn+. Then R n M d f udx a k, m k k f v v dy u k. By the generalzed Hölder nequalty 2.4, k f v v dy f v X, k v X,. k k Combnng ths wth the revous estmate, usng the roertes of the sets E k assocated wth { k }, and alyng Hölder s nequalty, we obtan M d f udx a m f v X, k v u k R n X, k k k, k m 2a K f v X, k E k 2a K m M X f v / L k, m 2a K M X f v / L 2a K M X L f L v, whch comletes the roof. 4. Proof of Theorem.4 Theorem 3.2 from [8] says that M # δ T f x CM f x, where M # s the standard Fefferman-Sten shar functon and M # δ f = M# f δ /δ. A smle examnaton of the roof of ths result yelds the followng local mean oscllaton estmate for T f.
Prooston 4.. For any cube R n, 4. ω λ T f ; ct,λ,n 2 lǫ SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS 5 l=0 f 2 l y dy. 2 l We turn now to the roof of Theorem.4. Combnng Prooston 4. and Theorem 2.3 wth 0 D, we get that there exsts a sarse famly S = { k } D such that for a.e. x 0, 4.2 T f x m 0 T f c M f x+ 2 lǫt S,l f x, where c = cn,t and T S,l f x =,k l=0 m f 2 l χ k k x. By the weak tye roerty of the m-lnear Calderón-Zygmund oerators 2.2, assumng, for nstance, that each f s bounded and wth comact suort, we get T f + = 0. Hence, t follows from 2.3 that m T f 0 as. Therefore, lettng 0 to anyone of 2 n quadrants and usng Fatou s lemma and 4.2, we obtan T f X cn,t M f X + l=0 su 2lǫ S D By Lemma 2.2, M f X cm,nsu A D,S f X. Wegetthefollowngsmleestmate: 4.6 M l,α f,...,m,g c χ x where T l gx =,k m Mf χ xt l gχ x, P m,α,k g χ P m,α x. k,k It was roved n [7, Lemma 3.2] that T l g L, cnl g L. Usng ths estmate, the weak tye, of M, and reteratng the well known roerty of rearrangements, fg t f t/2g t/2, t > 0, we get usng 4.6 x. ω λ M l,α f,...,m,g; m m whch comletes the roof. Mf χ T l gχ λ Mf χ λ /2 T l gχ λ /2 m m cλ,m,nlg f,
SHARP WEIGHTED BOUNDS Proof of 4.3. By 4.4 t s enough to rove 4.3 wth T l,α f, for each α =,...,2 n, nstead of T S,l f on the left-hand sde. By the standard lmtng argument one can assume that the sum defnng T l,α f s fnte. Then the sum defnng the corresondng oerator M l,α f,...,m,g n 4.5 wll be fnte too. Ths means that the suort of M l,α f,...,m,g s comact. One can cover t by at most 2 n cubes ν D α such that m Ml,α f,...,m,g ν = 0, ν =,,2 n. Alyng Theorem 2.3 along wth Lemma 4.2, we get that there exsts a sarse famly S α D α ν such that for a.e. x ν, where M l,α f,...,m,gx cm,nl M Dα f,...,m,gx+ k Sα f k g k χ k x, m M Dα f m,...,m,gx = su f g. x D α Alyng to ths maxmal oerator the same argument as n the roof of Lemma 2.2 and combnng wth the revous estmate, we get that there exsts two sarse famles S α, and S α,2 from D α such that for a.e. x ν, M l,α f,...,m,gx cm,nl Hence, by Hölder s nequalty 2.4, 2 κ= k Sα,κ ν M l,α f,...,m,gf m dx cm,nl Summng u over ν and usng 4.5, we get R n T l,α f gdx 2 n+ cm,nlsu D,S f k g k χ k x. m 2 κ= R n A Dα,S α,κ f gdx 2cm,nlsu A D,S f X g X. D,S A D,S f X g X. By 2.5, takng here the suremum over g 0 wth g X = gves 4.3 for T l,α f, and therefore the roof s comlete.
8 W. DAMIÁN, A.K. LERNER, AND C. PÉREZ 5. Proof of Theorem.5 Frst, we aly Theorem.4 wth X = L ν w observe that = m+. Fx m S D. Assume that f 0. By dualty A D,S f L ν w = su f k g. g L ν / w = Observe that by our choce of we have / =. Denote m A P w; = ν w σ. We have,k f k k = A P w; k m,k 2[ w] A P 2[ w] A P,k E k R n g σ k k,k f ν w k M D σ f σ M D ν w gν w dx M D σ f σ M D ν w gν w dx. Now we aly Hölder s nequalty: Mσ D f σ Mν D w gν w dx Frst, R n Mσ D f σ L ν w k k MD ν w gν w L ν w. Mν D w gν w L ν w c g L = c. ν / w g k Second, we aly Hölder s nequalty wth / and use that =. We get Mσ D f σ and we are done. L ν w m M D σ f σ L σ c f L w,
