Determine where the polynomial is positive and negative because this will tell you where the graph is above and below the x-axis. 4. Determine the behavior of the polynomial for large positive values of x and for large negative values of x. The behavior of the polynomial at these extremes will be dominated by the leading term, the term with the highest power of x. f (x) = x 5!!!!!!! g(x) = x 5!!!
