2 SEWAGE system Quantum SN 12, SN 16 BASIC INFORMATION System QUANTUM combines excellent strength property of PVC and years of experience, research and development in the company Pipelife Czech. It is a top modern sewage system, which exceeds most of the products delivered so far. Pipes QUANTUM SN 12 and SN 16 are tested according to relevant parameters of EN , but they exceed many of them. QUANTUM is therefore made according to STO-AO /2009 specification. Pipes construction They are highstrength three-layer solid pipes according to STO-AO /2009, outside and inside smooth, dimensions DN 150-DN 400 (DN/OD). The pipes don t contain foam layer. Sandwich construction highlights property of material, presence of phase boundary on each layer limits crack propagation. Outer layer redbrown stone impression resistant Middle layer black and grey ensure pipes statics absorbs impacts Internal layer light grey, ideal for camera inspection improves legibility of internal marking resists the sediment abrasion The pipes have formed socket, which is advantageous comparing to the pipes connected by double sockets/repair sockets which bring double risk of leaking connections. 3 Infra system Reinforced seal ring In the socket there is an elastic ring with two sealing edges. It is protected from damage and UV impacts while storing and manipulation. Reliable sealing is insured by a plastic reinforcement ring. This stops falling out or sealing impression while transport or inexpert installation, the ring can be taken out when cleaning and changing using suitable tools. This version ensures extraordinary tightness and high environment-friendly assurance of pipe system. (see picture 1 and ensured values below) Pic. 1 Internal marking Pipes internal surface is marked by standard specified range and intervals. Internal marking on each socket increases certainty the most important parameters for pipes checking are accessible from the inside of the pipe after groove filling (see picture 2). It enables checking if the pipes weren t replaced with cheaper or less quality pipes by accident or intentionally while building. Pic. 2 Resistance Great impact resistance of the QUANTUM system allows installation even by -10 C,. Pipes are marked with the ice crystal sign according to EN Pipes can be used for transport of warm water up to max. 60 C Pipes Quantum and their sealing rings withstand in ph 2 13 (acids and hydroxides), they are resistant to many organic compounds (except acetone, toluene). For oily waters (petrol stations, garages, car repair shops) oil proof rings can be ordered by Pipelife. PVC Comparing to other plastics suitable for pipes producing, PVC excels high E-modulus, low creep value and good abrasion resistance. Mixture for QUANTUM SN 12 has high hardness, the pipes are therefore resistant against big soil particles impression which might damage the pipes. As well the material is very tenacious which enables laying even at -10 C. Besides testing for common pipes according to ČSN EN 744, the impact resistance according to ČSN EN 1411 test is done at modern systems (staircase method). Metal weight of 12,5 kg falls on a pipe DN 300 at 0 C from heights of at least 1 meter, while the pipe wall mustn t be damaged (Pic. 3). Pipe system QUANTUM SN 12 meets the falling height of 2 meters, therefore it can be marked the symbol ice crystal. Root penetration resistance Long-term environment-friendly certainty of system QUANTUM SN 12 is proven by test. According to EN the strength needed for rising the socket is measured within 2000 hours (by airflow or nitrogen flow in quantities of 200ml/min see Pic. 4). Pipes behavior depends on traffic load, kind of soil and its compaction level. Although system QUANTUM has excellent static parameters, don t underestimate the importance of the static calculation.
