Originals of the following documents are required to be produced at the time of admission: a) SSLC/SSC equivalent b) Pre-degree/Plus-2 or equivalent c) BE/B.Tech/MSc/M.S., or equivalent degree certificate and consolidated marksheet containing break-up of marks of all semesters. If consolidated mark list is not received, mark sheet of all semesters have to be produced. d) GATE/JEST/CSIR UGC NET Score Card e) SC/ST certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable f) OBC-Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable. g) Medical Fitness certificate from a Class A Medical Practitioner h) Vaccination certificate duly signed (along with seal) by a registered Medical Practitioner in the proforma attached herewith. i) 'No Objection Certificate' from the authorities concerned to your accepting the admission, if you are already under obligation to serve a Central Government Department/Organization/State Government/Public Authority. j) Transfer Certificate, Conduct certificate. The original documents listed above at a) to f) will be scrutinized and returned then and there, whereas the documents listed above at g) to j) will be retained at IIST. *Students who are completing their course in the academic year and who are not able to produce the provisional/degree certificate at the time of admission shall furnish the same and consolidated mark list/mark lists of all semesters on or before October 31, However, till the date of submission of Degree Certificate, the admission will be treated as provisional and such students who have not submitted the Degree Certificate will not be eligible for scholarship. On submission of the certificate on or before October 31, 2016, the scholarship will be paid with effect from the date of admission to the programme or date of commencement of classes, whichever is later. If the student fails to submit the certificates on or before October 31, 2016, his/her claim for the PhD admission will become null and void.
