Explores the relationship between the mind and the brain as it brings together spiritual principles and current scientific proofs. The class incorporates experts in the field of science and spirituality through video presentations, current books, spirit communication etc. Practical application wends its way through class work and culminates in an integrative approach to uniting physical and spiritual universes as a means to creating fulfilling, productive living. Since UMC students come from widely diverse backgrounds, this course provides a solid foundation for appropriately articulating the religious philosophy of Divine Metaphysics: definitions, basic philosophy and origins of beliefs. The course is intended as a basic tool that will enable students to more easily grasp and communicate complex concepts of philosophy and terminology as graduates of the UMC Seminary program. 13 Sermon Preparation & Delivery III Spiritual Tarot [Tool] Symbols: Language/Soul UMC: Constitution and Bylaws Western Mysticism delivery. Students deliver prepared sermons in class from the podium and receive creative suggestions from instructor as well as other class participants. Students must bring a prepared sermon to seminary. This class will present the basic concepts of understanding and interpreting the mystical images that are presented in the numerous versions of classical, historically honored Tarot card systems. Based in the Kabalistic understanding of Divine Source in relation to one s unfolding soul s spiritual progression and spiritual enlightenment, these images have been found to be a rich and profound source for Divine-Spiritual communication. Aids in assisting students to build and understand a basic foundation in metaphysical symbology used by Spirit to communicate in dreams, visions and meditation that can be used in ministry writings, message bearing, sermons and teaching. Focused class review of the printed text of the current official version of the UMC Constitution and Bylaws, instructing future Ministers, Mediums, Healers and holders of the Certificate of Metaphysical Studies with UMC legal guidelines, requirements and directives. Retreat students and members of local churches/ study groups are encouraged to enroll.
