12 Status pr we have identified ifi d 13 organizations i as potential partners which might best fulfill the prerequisites to provide their geographical names data for the project and connect it with the EGN Internet gazetteer service during the project phase. These organizations should be forming the EGN Reference Group and are representing the following countries: Austria (AT), Czech Republic (CZ), Cyprus (CY), Finland (FI), France (FR), Germany (DE), Hungary (HU), Latvia (LV), Lithuania (LT), Netherlands (NL), Norway (NO), Slovenia (SI), Spain (ES). According to the conditions as demanded by the econtentplus Program we have to select 5 to 8 organisations. That will be decided upon at the beginning of the project.

13 Status t pr. 22 September 2008 After evaluation of all the selected counties, the consortium found that all the 13 countries should participate in the project. Austria (AT), Czech Republic (CZ), Cyprus (CY), Finland (FI), France (FR), Germany (DE), Hungary (HU), Latvia (LV), Lithuania (LT), Netherlands (NL), Norway (NO), Slovenia (SI), Spain (ES).

17 Datamodell II EGNEntryID EGN_uniqueID is a character string which uniquely identifies the gazetteer entry. It must be unique not only within its own gazetteer but across all the gazetteers. The EGN_uniqueID will be composed of the a string element (e.g. country code: DE, NL, etc) + datasource + sequential identifier

19 Datamodell IV EGNLocation countrycode is a character string holding the ISO alpha-2 country identifier region is the EGNEntryId of the 1st level administrative unit in which the feature is located (county) municipality is the EGNEntryId of the city, town or village in which the feature can be found. postcode a character string holding the features post code if available streetaddress the street address of the feature if available
