Model 960 Thermo Orion has an automated Karl Fischer Titrator to accurately measure moisture in most any type of sample. Numerous applications have been developed for a variety of industries including the agricultural, chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries. A wide range of ph, ISE and Specialty titration electrodes are available, including the surfactant electrode to test for anionic, cationic and nonionic surfactants. The New AS3000 Series Autosampler is compatible with the Model 960 TitratorPLUS as well as Models 162A, 535A, 550A, 555A, and 862A benchtop meters. What differentiates the Model 960 from other single parameter analyzers or automatic titrators is its versatility. Not only can it be used for performing classical titrations, it can also automate the measurement of any species measurable by ion selective and ph electrodes. All of the operating procedures appear on the instrument s display in the form of easy-to-understand questions. Using the Model 960 improves precision and response time for electrode measurements. Because the analysis is automated, each step is carried out consistently time after time, operator to operator. Quick release fittings on the bottles make it easy to disconnect one bottle and connect another. There s no need to stock spare burettes for fast reagent changes. The dispenser is a rotary reciprocating pump. Unlike an automatic burette, the pump has no valves to switch for refilling. Also, there is no dead volume, making changing reagents easy and fast. Typical problems encountered when doing manual analyses are virtually eliminated, making ISE technology better suited for a busy day of testing. Higher levels of automation can be achieved by adding a Model 960AD Workstation as an auxiliary reagent dispenser. The Model 960AD is available in two versions for use with or without the AS3000 Series Autosampler. You can integrate up to eight workstations and an autosampler into one system for maximum versatility. For routine measurements, a short form printout is available. All pertinent GLP information is provided, including sample ID, electrode, time, date, and the result. The Model 960 can calculate results in units of measurement. In addition, diagnostic error messages may be printed to provide troubleshooting information such as excessive electrode drift or matrix effect. The Model 950 performs Acid/Base titrations, including non-aqueous samples, oxidation-reduction, precipitation and complexometric titrations using ion selective electrodes. Automate all routine manual color end-point titrations with the Model 950 preset end-point technique. The Model 950 preset technique can titrate to one or two preset ph or millivolt values to measure P & M alkalinity of water or acidity of carbonated beverages. The Model 950 first derivative technique offers titration to one or multiple inflection points for many analyses, for example: chloride in food ingredients, copper in a plating bath, or TAN and TBN of the petroleum products. The Titrant and the entire system can be standardized automatically against an accurately weighed known NIST or other national standards using the standardize system technique.
