1 Frequently asked question about our new Platinum Water Ionizer How many electrodes does the Platinum Water Ionizer have? Answer: 2, One positive and One negative How many electrolysis plates does the Platinum Water Ionizer have? Answer: 5 plates, platinum coated titanium plates Does it remove chlorine? Answer: Yes. It contains a sold carbon block as well as activated carbon media.

2 What is the lifespan of the cartridges? Answer: The 1 st cartridge is rated for 10 months and the 2 nd cartridge is rated for 13 months at 10L / day or 2.5 gal / day. How does it connect? Answer: It is connected via a diverter valve, which is installed on the end of your faucet aerator. This valve which has a lever allows you to use your sink as usual when needed. When you would like to produce Alkaline or Acidic Water, simply turn on your faucet and turn the lever to divert the water flow to the unit. Does it remove minerals from my water? Answer: It keeps the valuable minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium in the water. When the filtered water enters the electrolysis chamber, the negative electrodes attract the positive alkaline minerals to their compartment; while the positive electrodes attract the negative acid minerals to theirs. So one stream has only alkaline minerals and the other only acid, at which point alkaline water flows out from the Ionizer ' s top outlet, and acid water from the drainage outlet. What is the size of the unit? Answer: 12.5 " W X 13.5 " H X 5.5 " D What is the weight of the unit? Answer: 14.5lbs.

3 How many ph settings does the unit have? Answer: total, 2 acidic (3.5, 5.5) and 5 alkaline (7.5, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 10) How many stages of filtration does the unit have? Answer: 12 stages- 2 cartridges 6 stages each What are the 6 stages of each of the Platinum Water filtration cartridges? Answer: Pre-Filter Block Carbon Filter Poly-Ethylene Plane Filter Activated Carbon Filter CaSO 3 (Calcium Sulphite) Silver-added Activated Carbon Can I run hot water through the unit? Answer: The recommended operating temperature of the unit is F How much water does it produce? Answer: 2.5L/min or 2/3rds of a gallon per minute

4 How long does it take to produce alkaline water? Answer: You can produce alkaline water instantly and continuously. We recommend using a slower flow rate because the longer the contact time in the filtration and electrolysis stage, the better. How long do the alkaline ionized properties of the water last? Answer: It can last up to 48 hours. You may also refrigerate the water. Should I use a special container? Answer: We recommend a glass or low dense plastic container with a sealed lid. What is the ph reagent solution for? Answer: This is used so that you can test the water produced by the unit on a monthly basis. When producing alkaline water, the reagent in the water should turn green, blue, purple or combination of, depending on your ph setting. When producing acidic water, the reagent in the water should be an orange, yellow, red or combination of, depending on your ph setting. Why doesn ' t the ph setting of the unit match the alkaline / acidic water based on the ph reagent chart? Answer: Your source or tap water may already have an alkaline or acidic property to it. The unit is calibrated for neutral 7.0 source water. So if your source water has an alkaline property, your ionizer will intensify that alkaline property even more. If your source water has an acidic property, the alkaline ionizer effect will not be as intense because of the counter action. Other variations also include the lack or surplus of natural minerals in the source water which is an important part in creating alkaline ionized water.

5 Can I leave it on all the time? Answer: Your Water Ionizer automatically turns on when water is run through it and automatically turns off when water stops running. How do I install Water Ionizer? Answer: Installation is easy and takes minutes. How do I know when the filter needs replacing? Answer: The Platinum Water Ionizer utilizes two cartridges. The unit has a digital LCD display which constantly shows both readings for each filter cartridge. When the reading for either cartridge reaches 999, you must replace that cartridge with a new original factory cartridge. What is Ionized water and how is it different from regular water? Answer: Ionized water is split into two streams through a process called electrolysis. One stream is alkaline water with a ph above 7.0 and the other stream is acidic water with a ph below 7.0. The alkaline water is mainly used for drinking. The acidic water is used for sanitizing and disinfection, and has other uses such as an astringent for the skin. What benefits does Ionizer water have in household uses? Answer: Use it for watering plants for optimum hydration and for more absorption of nutrients (acidic vegetables such as tomatoes and tropical plants may prefer the acid water, while alkaline vegetables such as leafy greens may prefer the alkaline water - consult a garden specialist for more information). The acidic water is anti-bacterial which makes it ideal for cleaning sensitive or acne skin. You can also use the acidic water for disinfecting vegetables and surfaces particularly where food is prepared and consumed. Give vegetables a quick rinse in alkaline water before cooking to enhance flavor.

6 The voice repeatedly says it is "cleaning " the unit. What is the "Self-Cleaning " process? Answer: The Platinum Water Ionizer cleans automatically to maintain and guarantee the efficiency of the electrolytic cell. When the total volume of both alkaline ionized water and acidic ionized water in its tank reaches 10L or 2.6 Gallons, the automatic cleaning process takes place. Is it safe to drink after the " Self-Cleaning " process? Answer: Approximately 0.8L or 27oz. of water is removed after the cleaning process - this is indicated by the drain light flickering. Do NOT drink the drained water. Once the cleaning process is complete and the water has drained, you can continue using your ionizer as usual. I get an Error Code (for example, Er-4) on my water ionizer, what does it mean? answer: ER-1 LOW Voltage (input voltage decreases below the standard votage by at least 20V ER-2 HIGH Voltage (input voltage increases below the standard voltage by at least 20V ER-3 Overheating occurs in the electrolytic bath ER-4 The inflow of water is too high. Must be less than 3.3? /min OR 1 gal/ min ER-7 Water is supplied while the product is in the self-cleaning operation I have replaced the cartridge(s), but the indicator gauge does not show a [000] value. How do I reset it? Answer: There is a green reset button for the 1st filter and a red reset button for the 2nd filter. Please click on the link to watch the maintenance video.

7 When I store alkaline ionized water in a bottle, it goes cloudy and deposits form. Why is this? Answer: This is because the alkaline ionized water is rich in calcium minerals. If there is a lot of CO 3 available in the water, it combines with calcium to form CaCO 3 (calcium carbonate). This implies that the reducing (alkalizing) process has occurred. There is nothing wrong with drinking the contents; however, you are advised to wash the container in citric acid with 1L of water to clean the container. What is the ORP (oxidative reduction potential) of the Platinum Water Ionizer? Answer: The Platinum Water Ionizer succeeds in achieving a high electrolytic reduction power, also known as oxidative-reduction potential, or ORP. Electrolytic reduction is a measure of the ability to eliminate reactive oxygen - which is its anti-oxidant ability. "I used the test kit to test the alkaline of the water however the color never changed no matter what ph setting it is was on." The hoses may be reversed. Reverse the hoses and see what happens. Why shouldn t you use the alkaline water when taking medications? The stomach has an acidic environment of 1.8 and medication is designed to work at that ph. Therefore, the medication may be ineffective or cause complications if mixed with alkaline water. You can still use the purify selection on the machine.

1. Electrolysis changes the ORP value of tap water from +500mv to -150~-800mv.

1. Electrolysis changes the ORP value of tap water from +500mv to -150~-800mv. What does a water ionizer do? Why is drinking water from a home ionizer beneficial to our health? What s the difference between a water purifier and water ionizer? What important features do water ionizers
