During th occupid mod, th occupid hating and cooling stpoints will b maintaind, and th fan will oprat according to its occupid stting. During th unoccupid mod, th unoccupid hating and cooling stpoints will b maintaind, and th fan will oprat according to its unoccupid stting. Th occupid LED will b lit whn th unit is oprating in th occupid mod. Th occupid schdul may b st utilizing th intrnal tim clock (SZ1064 or DI3 may b usd with an xtrnal tim clock, whras whn DI3 is closd, th unit is in th occupid mod. Th Smart Rcovry function is disabld whn DI3 is usd for xtrnal tim clock. OVERRIDE A timd ovrrid is availabl using th button on th fac of th thrmostat or through momntary contacts wird into th OVR trminal. Th amount of tim th unit will b ovrriddn is st from 0 to 255 minuts in th ming scrn. This ovrrid bhavs diffrntly dpnding on th mod th thrmostat is oprating in (occupid or unoccupid) and th options that hav bn nabld within th softwar. In standard mod, th ovrrid only activats in unoccupid mod and taks th thrmostat into occupid mod. If "Ovrrid for Occupid riod" is nabld using th softwar, th ovrrid also activats in occupid mod and taks th thrmostat into unoccupid mod. In ithr cas, you ar abl to viw th tim rmaining in th ovrrid priod both within th softwar and by using th srvic button to scroll through th status scrns. If th occupant dsirs to rturn th thrmostat to unoccupid or occupid opration (dpnding on how th ovrrid was usd) bfor th ovrrid tim rmaining lapss, thy may prss th ovrrid button again. 6

7 Additionally, an "Ovrrid Hold" fatur is built into th thrmostats. Whn in unoccupid mod, prssing th ovrrid onc and thn prssing/holding it for 5 sconds puts th thrmostat into a "hold mod (th ovrrid LED on th thrmostat will flash quickly to confirm th mod chang). In this mod, th ovrrid stpoints ar usd until th nxt occupid priod is rachd or until th thrmostat is manually takn out of th "hold" mod by prssing th ovrrid button again. This fatur also works whn th "Ovrrid for Occupid riod" is nabld BUT starting from th occupid mod and holding th thrmostat in th unoccupid stat. A continuous ovrrid is availabl through th DI3 contact or th softwar. If DI3 is st to xtrnal ovrrid, th unit will b in th occupid mod whnvr th DI3 contact is closd. Whn using this option, th timd ovrrid may still b activatd. SETBACK AND OVERRIDE ALICATIONS In most applications, it is dsird to maintain a rgular schdul, and allow timd ovrrid with th button on th fac or with a rmot momntary contact. To allow a rgular schdul, and also automatically ovrrid with th us of occupancy or light snsor, st DI3 to ovrrid and st it up so that th contact is closd whn you want th ovrrid. For applications whr a room might not b usd on a rgular schdul, such as confrnc rooms, st DI3 to xtrnal tim clock and clos th contact whn you want th room occupid, such as with a switch or wind-up timr. If ach occupancy priod is about th sam, (thatrs, mtings) anothr option is to st th DI3 to xtrnal tim clock, and us th timd ovrrid button to put th unit in occupid mod. To mak th unit always occupid, st DI3 to xtrnal tim clock and short th DI3 trminal to ground. TWO-IE FAN COIL OERATION For two-pip fan coil opration, in stp #28 slct NO. In stp #29, slct YES. You must thn slct whthr th systm is HEATing only, COOLing only or hating and cooling (H&C) in stp #30. Whn using a two-pip systm to do both hating and cooling, th SZ1063 and SZ1064 nd to know whthr hot or cold watr is availabl. This is accomplishd by ithr th us of a mchanical aquastat (bulb thrmostat) connctd to trminals DI1 and 24-, or by th us of a tmpratur snsor connctd to T2 and T2 (SZ1064. If using a mchanical thrmostat, slct DIGITAL in stp #31, and slct normally closd N.C. or normally opn N.O. In stp #32. If using a tmpratur snsor, slct ANALOG in stp #31 and plac a changovr stpoint in stp #33. Whn th tmpratur is gratr than this stpoint, it is assumd hot watr is availabl and hating is don. Whn th tmpratur is lss than this stpoint, it is assumd cold watr is availabl and cooling is don. Whn using a two-pip systm to do both hating and cooling, only AO2 is usd. Whn using a two-pip systm to do only hating, only AO1 is usd. Whn using a two-pip systm to do only cooling, only AO2 is usd. THREE-IE FAN COIL OERATION For thr-pip fan coil opration, in stp #28 slct YES. Thr-pip fan coil opration assums that thr ar two watr sourcs availabl (hot and cold), and that th watr to th fan coil will b a mixtur of ths. Only analog output two is usd for thr-pip opration. Th output will b 12mA (4-20mA) whn thr is no nd for hating or cooling. As thr bcoms a nd for hating or cooling, th analog output modulats toward 4mA or 20mA dpnding on whthr analog output two is dirct or rvrs acting. FOUR-IE FAN COIL OERATION For four-pip fan coil opration, in stp #28 slct NO. In stp #29, slct NO. Four-pip fan coil opration assums that thr ar two watr sourcs availabl (hot and cold), that ar ach controlld by its own valv. Analog output on is usd for hating and analog output two is usd for cooling. IE TEMERATURE SENSING Th SZ1063 and SZ1064 accpts a rmot pip tmpratur snsor for monitoring purposs or for changovr in a two-pip systm. (S instructions for dipswitch placmnt for this option.) Th pip tmpratur span is 0 to 150 F (-17.8 to 65.6 C). ANALOG OUTUTS Th analog outputs on th SZ1063 and SZ1064 ar usd to control th hating and cooling in a spac. Analog output 1 is usd to control hating and analog two is usd to control cooling with a four pip systm. Only analog output 2 is usd with a thr-pip or with two-pip systm st for hat and cool (H&C). DI2 SETOINT SHIFT Th SZ1063 and SZ1064 allow DI2 to b st for stpoint shift for nrgy dmand stback. A digital contact that closs whn stback is ndd should b wird into DI2. You may spcify a numbr of dgrs such that, whn th thrmostat is oprating in th occupid mod, and DI2 is closd, th hating stpoint will b lowrd this numbr of dgrs, and th cooling stpoint will b raisd this numbr of dgrs. Th fan will continu to oprat according to its occupid stting. If you ar using DI2 as monitor for anothr purpos, mak sur to st th stpoint shift valu to zro. AUXILIARY RELAY OUTUT ARAMETERS Th auxiliary rlay of th SZ1064 will control on stag of ithr hating or cooling, or can b usd as a timclock output. 7

8 If th auxiliary rlay is usd as hating or cooling stag, you may spcify an offst and a diffrntial valu. Th offst valu is th amount away from th stpoint a stag will turn off. By assigning a valu othr than zro, you "anticipat" that th rsidual hat or cooling in th duct will bring th tmpratur back to stpoint. In most cass, a first stag is st to zro. Th diffrntial valu is th diffrnc btwn th on and off points. Using an offst valu gratr than or qual to th proportional band of an analog output will allow th rlay to com on aftr full modulation is achivd. Strip hat, for xampl. If th auxiliary rlay is usd as a timclock output, it is slctabl whthr th rlay is opn or closd during th occupid priod. During th unoccupid priod, th opposit will occur. Kp in mind that although it is an isolatd rlay (sparat common trminal), it is ratd at 24 2A. For loads that xcd this, us an xtrnal rlay. It ramps th stpoint 4 F/hr. whn going from th unoccupid and mod to th occupid mod. At th bginning of th occupid mod, th occupid stpoint will b rachd, many tims without th nd for th scond stag to com on. This fatur is automatically disabld whn DI3 is st to xtrnal tim clock. BUILT-IN DELAYS Th SZ1063 and SZ1064 hav dlays built into th ming squncs to protct quipmnt. Th fan has a minimum on and off tim of 30 sconds. Whn th fan is in AUTO mod, it will com on 30 sconds bfor th hating or cooling dvics ar allowd to squnc on. Th auxiliary rlay, whn st to b a stag of hat or cool, has a minimum on and off tim of two minuts. DELAY ON OWERU Th SZ1063 and SZ1064 hav an adjustabl dlay on powrup and start-up. Whn svral thrmostats ar usd at on location, and th powr gos out, most thrmostats turn all of th units back on at th sam tim on rgain of powr, crating a pak. Th thrmostat allows you to st a valu, in sconds, whr no outputs ar 8
