2 Origin - Originally, this projct proposal was put forward during th First Exprt Group Mting on Futur Plan (EGMFP-1) of Spac Activitis and Dvlopmnt rlating to APSCO hld in April 2005 in Bangkok, as wll as th First Mting of th Ad Hoc Committ for Program Planning for APSCO hld in Sptmbr 2007 in Bijing. Th priority projcts rcommndd by Mmbr Stats basd on ths proposals, fully rflct th urgnt nds of Earth Obsrvation Tchnology Applications by us of th xisting rsourcs and th advantags of organizational coopration within Mmbr Stats. 2

12 Stag of th Application Pilot Projct - APSCO calld Mmbr Stats to submit projct proposals by August, APSCO rcivd totally 10 proposals from Thailand (2), Bangladsh (1), Pakistan (3)/ Pru(1), and China (4) - APSCO hav valuatd and prioritizd four proposals for implmntation. Th valuation shall b conductd on Sptmbr 13, 2012.
