MAUDE LAKE GOLD MINES LIMITED RADIOMETRIC SURVEY - SAL VE LAKE "GROUP OF 20" CLAIMS INTRODUCTION A radiometric survey was competed over Maude Lake God Mines' SALVE LAKE "GROUP OF 20" CLAIMS in Beatty Township to assist the geoogica interpretation and test for potassium-rich ateration zones that are commony associated with god mineraization events. The "Group of 20" property forms the centra portion of the arger SALVE LAKE GROUP which Maude Lake has been exporing over the past 3 years. PROPERTY, LOCATION, ACCESS The caims under consideration in this report consist of twenty (20) staked mining caims numbered: L.550880 L.550881 L.550882 L.550883 L550884 L.565052 L.565053 L.565054 L.565055 L.565056 L.565057 L565058 L.565059 L.565061 L.565062 L.578942 L.598904 L.598905 L.598906 L.598907 that are hed by Maude Lake God Mines Limited, 300 Em Street West, Sudbury, Ontario, P3C 12V4.

page 2. The caims are ocated in centra Beatty Township, Larder Lake Mining Division (NTS: 42A 9W) approximatey 7 mies northeast of the Town of Matheson. Access to the caims is by Hw #101 east from Matheson to the Beatty-Carr Township boundary road and then north aong a-weather grave roads to within /2 mie of the western boundary of the caims. The 0+00 Baseine crosses the road and eads to the property. A propery and genera ocation map is provided overeaf. HISTORY Ony a imited amount of exporation work has been recorded on the Save "Group of 20" caims. In 1960, Texas Guf Suphur (now Kidd Creek Mines) dried 2 borehoes on present caim L. 565054 that intersected minor pyrite and pyrrhotite, graphite and a quartz vein in mafic vocanics and metasediments. In 1973-74, Shenadoah Mines competed magnetic and eectromagnetic surveys over the 8 southernmost caims near Save Lake. Their work faied to ocate any significant targets and further work was not done. In 1981, Maude Lake God Mines competed a magnetometer survey over the caims. In 1982, Maude Lake mapped and ran a VLF-EM survey over the caims. Severa od pits and trenches were found during the mapping program, but no record of the work coud be found. GENERAL GEOLOGY The genera geoogy of the area is described by J. Sattery and H.S. Armstrong (ODM Voume LX, Part IV, Geoogy of Beatty Township) as being underain by east-west striking, northward facing andesitic and basatic piow avas of eary Precambrian age. These avas are cut by a few northstriking Matachewan diabase dykes and Agoman amprophyre dykets. Severa fauts are interpreted to cut the caims (ODM Map 1947-2). The mapping survey competed in 1982 by Maude Lake ocated severa northeast-striking quartz veins and a few strike fauts. Ony trace amounts of god were found in the sampes submitted.

page 3. EXPLORATION PROGRAM Gridding A grid of picket ines totaing 18.3 mies and 1.6 mies of baseine was cut over the caims during November 1981 by an exporation contractor, Gerad Bastarache of Kirkand Lake, Ontario. The baseine strikes due east-west and perpendicuar crossines were cut every 400 feet aong the baseine. Pickets were chained and set every 100 feet aong a the cut ines. During the summer and fa of 1982, the baseine and severa of the crossines were brushed-out by Maude Lake personne, A base station was estabished at 0+20N, 26+OOW for geophysica survey tie-in purposes. Radiometric Survey The radiometric survey was competed over some of the caims during the summer of 1982 in conjunction with the geoogica mapping program. The remainder of the survey was competed between October and November 30, 1982 after the very wet, swampy areas and akes were frozen. A McPhar TV-1A Radiation Spectrometer was used and tota fied readings were taken every 100 feet aong a the grid ines. In a, 859 readings were taken. The readings were corrected for diurna drift using the time-inear method. Genera topography and outcrop areas were aso charted and the resuts compared with the mapping survey. A summary of the TV-1 A's specifications is appended. Resuts The resuts of the radiometric survey are potted on Figure *2, in back pocket. The tota fied readings ranged from to 20 counts per minute for the survey area. The readings can be grouped into distinct popuations based on the overburben and bedrock conditions. The owest readings ( to 3 counts per minute) ony fe over Save Lake. Readings over the swampy and wet areas ranged from 2 to 6 cpm and whie the ow ader and spruce

areas returned vaues between 5 and 11 cpm. The arge basatic outcrop areas typicay ran between 6 and 10 cpm. The highest readings aways occured in areas covered by thick acutrine cay deposits (usuay marked by popar forest). This ikey refects the higher potassium concentrations in the cays. No significant enrichment was found on or near outcrop areas, athough some weak ateration zones were noted during the geoogica mapping. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS A radiometric survey was competed over Maude Lake God Mines' SALVE LAKE "GROUP OF 20" CLAIMS in centra Beatty Township. The resuts of the work assisted in the geoogica understanding of the area and heped to predict the overburden conditions. These resuts as we as those of a the previous exporation work wi be used to outine foow-up targets for future testing. RAB Matheson, Ontario R. A. Bennett, MSc., PEng. JMcPHAR TV-1A Radiation Spectrometer A 3-channe instrument for reconnaisance use **ra\ Both meter and audio reading Four count scaes Trigger on-off switch ' 'V - -V\ Functiona pisto design Lightweight Mode TV-1A is a three channe, integra type radiation spectrometer. Measure ments are based on the spectra characteristics of gamma radiation from radioactive eements, Seection of the operating threshod is made by means of the threshod seector switch. The instrument is designed primariy for reconnaissance. The tota count position provides for maximum sensitivity. Addi tiona threshods however, provide the capabiity to differentiate between gamma radiations emanating from daughter eements of uranium and thorium and provide quantitative infor mation reating to each. The meter is caibrated to dispay zero to 100 counts per minute. A four position scae mutipier switch provides four fu scae ranges of 100,1,000,10,000 and 100,000 counts per minute, A fifth position on this switch Is empoyed to test the condition of the batteries. The variabe time constants are tied in with the threshod seector switch. In the tota count (maximum sensitivity) posi tion, a fast or sow time constant may be seected. In the upper threshods (ower net count), the ong time constant ony, Is In effect. The detecting eement is a 1V4 by 1V4 inch sodium iodide crysta couped to a photomutipier tube. These are hermet-

i Fied use is convenient with eather hoster icay seaed, magneticay shieded and mounted in the forward end of the scintiometer housing. A speaker provides a variabe pitch output with changing radiation eves. A speaker contro, mounted on the top of the instrument, can be used to adjust the pitch for any given eve of radiation. TV-1 A spectrometer comes compete with a eather hoster, thorium caibrating source and a foam fitted attache case.
