Greetings! - Henry David Thoreau Have you been up to the mountains lately? If not, you've been missing out. Unless, of course, you don't

Page 2 of 6 like that cold, white stuff. The month of January has dumped some record snow on us, with ski areas reporting 15-18" of fresh powder multiple days in a row. Great news for the slopes, but not so much for the commute. Traffic has been...well, let's just say...challenging. But if you made it here, you probably enjoyed some of the best skiing and riding in years. And while you're planning your next day on the hill, we're busy preparing for the season ahead. With just 129 more days until Memorial Day, we've got alot to do! Enjoy this month's Buzz and we'll see you all soon! Today's View From the Office Quick Slip Holder Info Slip renewals were emailed out on January 4th. If you don't recall receiving that email, check your spam folder. If you still cannot locate it or you have changed your email address, be sure and contact me. Renewal Deadline: March 1st, 2017 *Wanna save a few bucks? Return it by February 1st & take 2% off your slip or storage fee. Quick Document Links

Page 3 of 6 2017 Marina Lease Agreement- Electronic 2017 Marina Lease Agreement- Printable 2017 Spring Work Order- Electronic Welcome Aboard! It's a new year and with it comes a few new faces around the marina. As you know, we had a vacant position this past summer. And just a few weeks ago, we welcomed Phil Hofer to the team, taking on the position of Director of Marina Operations, formerly "Marina Manager." He may look familiar to many of you who have been around the marina for awhile. Phil worked here years ago as the Assistant Marina Manager before crossing the pond to Frisco where he managed the Frisco Marina for the past 12 years, and we're excited to have him back in Dillon. Click here to read more about Phil. Next, we've welcomed Craig Simson to the management team, assuming the position of Marina Operations Manager. Most of you already know Craig as part of our marina team these past few summers, where he headed up our sailing school. Or maybe from the years he has spent sailing off

Page 4 of 6 these docks as a marina slip holder. To learn a little more about Craig, click here. I hope you'll join me in welcoming these two new kids to the block. They bring with them a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm, and a vision that I'm certain will brighten the future of the marina for years to come. Winter Events in Dillon Be sure and "carve" out a little time in your schedule January 26th-27th and swing by Dillon Marina Park. Team Sandtastic will be in town those mornings between 9am-11am, chiseling out a winter masterpiece for all to see! Next, if you haven't participated yet, we're still looking for Bigfoot in Dillon and we need your help! So, bring the kiddos by Town Hall Friday, February 3rd or March 3rd so they can help locate him in the Bigfoot Adventure Walk. Click here for more info on all the events going on in Dillon this winter. We Want Your Photos There have been many photo ops up here in Summit recently, whether you're on the mountain, the roadways

Page 5 of 6 or just stuck somewhere in between. I'm sure many of you have had some amazing experiences and we'd love to see what you've been up to! Please email us your favorite shots and we'll be sure to share them in the Buzz. And while you're at it, start sending us your photos from around the marina as well. There could be another calendar in your future. New Marina Summer Hours It might be a little early to start talking about our summer hours, but there are those of you out there that like to plan ahead. And we like to do the same! Beginning this spring when we open our doors, you will find us here throughout the summer from 7:30am-7:30pm. What does that mean to you? Well, longer boat rental hours, longer launch ramp hours, longer office hours. What does that mean for us? Definitely a much larger coffee pot! Regardless, we're super excited to be here for you when you need us! "Life's Roughest Storms Prove the Strength of our Anchors!"
