If molar mass of an element = 28.1 g/mol who is it? do this day before If molar mass of an element = 30.1 g/mol who is it? If molar mass of an element = 207.4 g/mol who is it? Your job is to collect the data needed to get the molar mass of 12 elements. Once you have the molar mass (g/mol) of the element, you can determine: a. element's identity b. metal/non metal 16

Take a picture of the next screen Copy the markings onto your data sheet do this day before 17

Procedures to be followed in Molar Mass : Lab 1. Lab groups will be 3 students. Bottles move, people don't. 2. Lab group# is the # on the first bottle at your scale. Circle that # on your data sheet. Bottles travel counter clockwise around room. Be sure you start recording data on the line that is also your lab group #. 3. There will be 3 jobs in each group and 1 person for each job: a. Weigher best with 4 beam. If someone in gp needs practice weighing have them weigh when no back ups. b. Recorder 1 #'s on bottles c. Recorder 2 records physical characteristics and passes bottle. 4. Number 1 12 on a separate sheet of paper. That is where you will record the physical characteristics of each element you are observing. 5. Complete all data gathering before end of period. REMEMBER ALL WEIGHED MASSES MUST HAVE 3 DECIMALS 19
