Original recipe makes 4 servings 2 tomatoes, chopped 1 cucumber, peeled and diced 1 onion, chopped 1 tablespoon lemon juice salt to taste ground black pepper to taste 1. Combine tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions in a salad bowl. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Chill. 2

Upcoming Classes Filled with fun and whimsical touches, this wall hanging is sure to brighten your home this Winter! This is designed with easily assembled background blocks, simple applique, and dimensional details such as yo-yo snowman cheeks and mini marshmallows in the hot chocolate! This will be a BOW block of the week for just 4 weeks! You will have it finished in time to have it quilted for Winter! Starts in Oct., cost list coming soon! Did you know that I make handmade greeting cards??? That is one of the many things that I like to do in my spare time (Which amounts to about 2 hours a week)! Need a girl s night out then join us for Open Scrapbook Night September 19 th, starts at 5:30 and goes till we get tired! No cost! Just bring whatever you are working on and come on in! Kindness Canvas Painting Class, August 23 rd. Come join us for this 1 day class to make this beautiful 12x24 canvas! Class fee: $35.00 includes all supplies, just bring your paint brushes! Instructor: Sheryll Bentley Quilting 101 with Leona Ragsdale Classes will begin September 25 th for a series of 6 classes. This is a beginner s class for people that have sewing experience. Registration fee: $5.00, book: $15.50 (regular price $21.95), Class fee $80.00 (half due at 1st class, balance due 2 nd class). We will have a day class that will start at 1:30 and an evening class that will start at 6:00. This class fills fast so give me a call if you would like to put your name on the list! Deck the Halls Coloring Day Oct. Learn how to use regular colored pencils on fabric! Class fee $10.00 (includes pattern & fabric), bring your own colored pencils! Instructor Sheryll Bentley Class Policy All classes are filled on a first-come, first serve basis. Classes fill FAST and are limited in size. Registration fee is due at sign up. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we would appreciate 12 hours notice. As a courtesy to others, no babies or children under 8 are allowed. Children over 8 are welcome to attend if they have paid the regular class fee and are accompanied by an adult registered for the same class. Please arrive early for classes, as they will begin on time. Please check each class description for supplies you need to bring or come early and we ll be happy to assist you with finding what you need. Quilting Tips Painting Tips Who knew you could use those old quilting tools when you are painting??? What a neat idea to make sure all of your dotted lines are perfect!!! Plus it makes a really cute border on painted cards and such! Oppppsssss did you leave paint in a brush and forget about??? Just work in some Murphy s Oil Soap and let set a bit, and then wash out like normal! Presto, a restored brush! 5
