The Project was approved by the Board on March 31, 2017 and the Financial Agreement was signed on April 7, 2017 The Government is awaiting the ratification of the project by the Parliament to make the project effective. The effectiveness condition to adopt the Project Implementation Manual (PIM) has been met. The Ministry of Science and Technology is recruiting the project staff, preparing the technical specifications and ToRs for priority procurements and has set up the NQI directorate reporting directly to the State Minister as agreed during project preparation. The project is on track to start implementation as soon as it becomes effective.
