9E Reactions of metals Levelness and metal compounds describe tests for the gases carbon dioxide and hydrogen. I know that when acids react with metals they produce hydrogen and with carbonates acids produce carbon dioxide. I recognise when a chemical reaction has taken place because chemical changes have occurred. identify patterns in chemical reactions; naming the salts produced and naming some of their uses. I can write word equations for these reactions. predict the products of a neutralisation reaction and write a word equation to show this quoting the appropriate salt formed. 200 Anthony J Cole
