Brief Information of UGM Universitas Gadjah Mada was formally established on December 19, 1949 and is a national university. Universitas Gadjah Mada has 18 faculties, a Graduate Program (Master and Doctoral), 28 Center of Study with a students more than 50,000.

YOGYAKARTA CITY The Yogyakarta city is located in middle between Mt. Merapi and Parangtritis Beach. The area of Yogyakarta city is 32.5 km 2 with the population 444,007 and density 13.662 people / km 2. (BPS, 2012) The core of city is the Sultan's palace that located in the middle town build in October, 1756. The temperature is 21 o C 31 o C (2012). The Yogyakarta is called as education city, tourism city and cultural city in Indonesia.

Tectonic and Seismicity of Indonesia The tectonics of Indonesia are very complex, located between two continental plates: the Eurasian Plate and Australian Plate and between two oceanic plates: the Philippine Sea Plate and Pacific Plate. The Sambisari temple is discovered in 1966, buried by sand and ash around 8 meters depth. We believe that this material is a product from Mt Merapi explosion.
