NEW PERSPECTIVES - LANGUE, LITERATURE, COMMUNICATION, coordinated by the Faculty of Letters from Vasile Alecsandri University of Bacău, reunites the annual scientific manifestations organized by the research groups within the INTERSTUD (Espaces de la fiction -the 11 th edition-, Logos - the 5 th edition-, Cultural Spaces -the 5 th edition-, Gasie - the 3 rd edition-) and CETAL research centres. This unitary project, whose relevance will hopefully find an echo in the scientific and academic communities across the nation and other countries, seeks to offer the opportunity to have various interdisciplinary discussions on specific topics. CALL FOR PAPERS The study field of discourse analysis was not imposed through a programmatic document, but it took shape after the 60s, following the emergence of such disciplines as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, ethnography of communication, psychosociology of language. Discourse Analysis can generally refer to any verbal activity or to any communication event. It may designate both the rules that shape the discourse and the discourse itself, understood as a particular type of text produced in a particular context (media, journalism, medical, legal, etc.). Extremely dynamic and subject to changes,
discourse analysis is constantly renewing itself. The renewed interest in discourse analysis is due to the study of those oral or written forms which extend beyond the sentence, being strongly connected to their social meanings. In the last decades we have witnessed a variety of standpoints regarding the discourse approaches. Far from rendering this domain an unshakable unity, they emphasized the plurality of perspectives and the need to adopt an interdisciplinary position. Although there are, undoubtedly, differences in the issues addressed, the adopted terminology, the theoretical premises, the continuous development of research in discourse analysis shows that the indispensable ferment of research arises from the confrontation of ideas. These are some of the premises which encouraged us to propose for our scientific event a debate on the new approaches to discourse. We invite you to submit proposals for communication in Romanian, English or French, in compliance with the general theme of the conference. Below you can find a list of possible axes of reflection: New theoretical perspectives on discourse analysis. The boundaries of a crossroads discipline. Discourse analysis/analysis of discourse. Discourse analysis and textual linguistics. Classical values in linguistics (discourse/phrase, discourse/language, discourse/statement; discourse/text). The ambiguity of the concept. Poetics and stylistics of discourse Imaginary of discourse, the discourse of imaginary Contributions in discourse analysis. Discourse Analysis and related fields (pragmatics, argumentation, conversation analysis, ethnography of communication, sociolinguistics) Discursive typologies. New forms of discourse, further analyses. Alterity of discourse. Forms of reported speech.
