PREFACE This Bulletin 36 is the 8th Special Issue in the Society's Bulletin series dedicated to papers on Petroleum Geology. Bulletin 36 is a collection of 16 papers. One paper was presented at the Petroleum Geology ~ '91,8 at the Petroleum Geology Seminar '93, 1 at the Annual Geological Conference '92, 3 at the Annual Geological Conference '93 and 3 other contributions. It is a healthy sign to see more Petroleum Geology papers being presented at the Annual Geological Conferences as well. The Society gratefully acknowledges all the authors, for their valuable contributions, the reviewers for their painstaking reviews, PETRONAS for clearance on some of the papers and members of the Editorial Subcommittee for their help in the editorial process.
