BSM Landscape Z Extra U(1) is a very common outcome from string-inspired model MSSM Higgs (e.g., A H and H + H - ), Non-MSSM Higgs Gluinos Heavier(?) 1 st /2 nd generation scalar quarks (squaks) Lighter(?) 3 rd generation squarks (stop, sbottom) Charginos (C1, C2), Neutralinos (N1, N2, N3, N4), decaying into: Leptons, Higgs, W, Z LSP? Lightest Neutralino (N1): Bino-like, Wino-like, Higgsino-like, Bino- Higgsino-like.. [Example] Higgsino LSP chargino and neutralinos below 200 GeV, with mass splittings of order 10 GeV. It is very difficult for LHC to observe these particles. Gravitino Sleptons Selectrons and smuons are mass degenerate. Special case: Stau is lighter. Disappearing Tracks, LL Dark matter connection Compressed scenarios at hadron collides 2
Theme of Boosted Systems Boosted System? tau is highly boosted in Z decay top is highly boosted in non-thermal DM model We want to create boosted system for compressed mass spectra scenarios via ISR jet(s) and/or VBF dijets. VBF jj + stop ISR jet + stop ISR g + stop Disappearing Tracks with VBF jj (vs. with ISR jet) LL this is not a boosted system. But an interesting final state 3

Brief History BSM3G WG Testing models with tau, b, and/or top Early History Z tautau Exo Tau SUSY RA2tau SUSY Tau SUSY Tau + VBF + DM Z analysis was a founding body of this group, where we started with tau objects Alfredo Gurrola (TAMU), Andres Florez (Vanderbilt), Nitish Dhingra (Tata), Francesco Romeo (INFN), Recruiting / Training PHENO Topics No pre-setting. Dynamically evolving! o o The VBF analysis started because of null results on SUSY and the discovery of a Higgs boson A variable E(b)/E(top) for top chirality in monotop events is now discussed after we saw a difference in pt distribution of b quark from top decay between MG5 and PYTHIA8 which doesn t care of the chirality. 5
