WEST Global Weather Update Dry weather again dominated most of the western dairy areas last week. Temps ran above average as well, with highs in the 80 s and 90 s in the NW and 90 s and some 100 s in the San Joaquin. The forecast sees dry weather to continue for all of the western dairy areas for the next 7 days, with temps running around 4-8 degrees above average in most cases. 5 SOUTH AMERICA BRAZIL Dry weather dominated all of the key Brazilian dairy areas last week. The forecast sees mainly dry weather to dominate all of the key production areas. ARGENTINA Rains of.50-1.5 fell across the NE ½ of the key Argentine dairy areas last week, with things mainly dry in the SW. 6 AUSTRALIA Rains of.20-.70 fell in Western Australian dairy/grain areas last week, with things mainly dry elsewhere. The forecast sees rains of.10-.50 to fall in dairy areas of Victoria and southern NSW, with mainly dry weather to occur elsewhere in the next 7 days. INDIA Total Precipitation Healthy rains again fell in the northern key Indian dairy areas last week, with dry weather in the south. The forecast sees monsoon rains to continue to fall in a healthy fashion across the northern ½ of the country, with significantly less than average rainfall elsewhere. Monsoon rains are still running significantly below average in most of the key southern areas, but have jumped to well above average in most of the north. Departure from Average Temp.
