Technical features 1 Technical features The shutter actuator is a flash-mounted device for the ABB's Mylos Building Automation system, used for the control of a drive for shutters or blinds with the possibility of ascent, descent and louvre adjustment. On the rear side it has connecting terminals for ascent and descent commands of a motor operated shutter. From the parameters it is possible to choose the standby time to be applied to every change of direction. 1.1 Technical data Power supply Operating voltage 21 30 VDC over the bus Absorbed power EIB / KNX < 12 ma Nominal output values Number of Up/DOWN outputs 1 exchange contact UP and DOWN are interlocked Rated voltage U n 230/440 VAC (50/60Hz) Rated current I n (per output) 8A Connections EIB / KNX Connection terminal Bus 0.6-0.8 mm ø, unipole Load circuit 1 screw terminal for phase connection, 2 screw terminals for UP and DOWN Connection cable cross section 0,2.2,5 mm 2 braid 0,2.4 mm 2 unipole Tightening torque Max. 0.5 Nm Control and display elements red LED and EIB / KNX button To set the physical address EIB / KNX EIB / KNX voltage SELV 24 VDC (safety extra low voltage) Ambient temperature Use -5 C + 45 C Storage -25 C + 55 C Transport -25 C + 70 C Design Dimensions (H x W x D) in mm 17 x W x 15 Width W in mm 17 Mounting width in mm 7 Mounting depth in mm 5 Case, colour Plastic container, white or black CE marking acc. to EMC and Low-Voltage Directives Device type Application program Maximum number of communication objects Maximum number of group addresses Maximum number of associations 2CSYK1204 Shutter 1c/1.0 10 255 255 MYLOS Building Automation Technical features 3

Technical features Supplied state The device is supplied with the physical address 1.0.1. The application program is preloaded. It is therefore only necessary to load group addresses and parameters during commissioning. However, the complete application program can be reloaded if required. A longer downtime may result if the application program is changed or after a discharge. Assignment of the physical address The assignment and programming of the physical address is carried out in the ETS. The device features a Programming button for assignment of the physical device address. The red Programming LED lights up, after the button has been pushed. It switches off, as soon as the ETS has assigned the physical address or the Programming button is pressed again. Cleaning If devices become dirty, they can be cleaned using a dry cloth or a cloth dampened with a soapy solution. Corrosive agents or solutions should never be used. Download behaviour Depending on the PC, which is used, the progress bar for the download may take up to one and a half minutes, before it appears, due to the complexity of the device. Maintenance The device is maintenance-free. No repairs should be carried out by unauthorised personnel if damage occurs, e. g. during transport and/or storage. 1.2 Connection diagram N L M DOWN COMMON UP + 4 Technical features MYLOS Building Automation

Commissioning 2 Commissioning The main functions of the shutter actuator are described in this section. The shutter actuator parametrisation is performed via the Engineering Tool ETS Software application program. For the parametrisation you need a pc desktop or a laptop with ETS and connection to the KNX system (obtainable for example by means of RS232, USB or IP Interface). 2.1 Parameters 2.1.1 General Operating mode It is possible to define the device operation mode using this parameter, even if the parameters and communication objects for the two operating modes are very similar. Position for bus voltage interruption The parameter allows you to define the device behaviour upon voltage failure. In particular, for the "No reaction" case the output contacts will remain in their position, whereas in the "Stop" case the shutter/blind will stop immediately. Position upon bus voltage restoration Similarly to the previous parameter, this parameter manages the device output contacts upon voltage restoration. 8 bit scene If it is set on Enable both the Scene communication object and the Scenes parameter window will appear. MYLOS Building Automation Commissioning 5

Commissioning 2.2 Actuator Stroke duration [0 6000] sec Parameter used to set the stroke duration in seconds. Louvre adjustment duration [60 1000] msec (only if the operating mode set by parameters is Blind) The parameter determines louvre adjustment duration. Pause in the change of direction. 300 10000 msec Pause between two changes of direction Maximum number of louvre adjustments [1 60] msec (only if the operating mode set by parameters is Blind) To set the maximum number of louvre adjustment. Start-up delay [0 255] msec To set the delay upon start-up of any device movement. Switch-off delay [0 255] msec To set the delay at the end of any device movement. Switch the voltage-free outputs after This parameter allows the device to actually reach the (upper or lower) limit switch position. At the limit switch duration a further movement command in the same direction will cause: no reaction for "Limit switch reaching, no exceeding"; a stroke equal to 2% of the stroke duration for "Limit switch, 2% exceeding"; a stroke equal to 5% of the stroke duration for "Limit switch, 5% exceeding"; a stroke equal to 10% of the stroke duration for "Limit switch, 10% exceeding"; a stroke equal to 20% of the stroke duration for "Limit switch, 20% exceeding"; a stroke equal to 110% of the stroke duration for "Stroke total time, 10% exceeding"; 6 Commissioning MYLOS Building Automation

Commissioning 2.3 Status Send position [0 255] If Yes the Position status and Louvre status communication objects will appear (the last one only in case of BIlnd operation). Send the position after reaching the limit switch If Yes the Upper limit switch and Lower limit switch will be displayed. MYLOS Building Automation Commissioning 7

Commissioning 2.4 Scenes Association 1 Association 10 The parameters allow you to determine which scene group the device belongs to. It is possible to select up to 10 associations and for each association you can select up to 64 scenes. 8 Commissioning MYLOS Building Automation

Commissioning 2.5 Position Recall position [0 255] If it is set on Enable the Recall position 0 255 communication objects will appear. Objects for "Storing position" If it is set on Enable the Store position 1 or 2 and Store position 3 or 4 communication objects will appear. Objects for "Recalling position" If it is set on Enable the Recall position 1 or 2 and Recall position 3 or 4 communication objects will appear. MYLOS Building Automation Commissioning 9

Operation of communication objects If a telegram is received at this communication object, the shutter/blind moves to the corresponding position for the received value. After reaching the target position, the louvres are positioned as before. Only if during the shutter/blind movement a telegram was received on the communication object Move louvres 0 255, the louvres will be positioned accordingly. Top... : Intermediate position 255 : Bottom 3 Scene Output 1 Byte DPT Scene Control Output can be integrated into up to ten scenes with this communication object. A telegram is received which contains the number of the scene that is addressed together with the information about whether the shutter/blind is moved to the last saved position or whether the current position should be stored as the new preset value. The stored scene values are retained in the event of a bus voltage failure and if only the parameters are downloaded during programming. If the complete application is downloaded again during programming, the scene value is reset to the position right at the top.
