Advanced design and extensive testing has produced an extremely rugged unit capable of generating highquality data even in a non-ideal laboratory environment. The Agilent 7500a is the ideal product for laboratories looking to replace ICP-OES instruments. Incorporating an industry standard 27.12 MKz ICP RF generator and four independent computer-controlled mass-flow controllers for ICP gas control, the Agilent 7500a offers a tremendous level of sample introduction flexibility. In addition, the computer-controlled torch position (in all three axes) and comprehensive auto-tuning routines ensure that system setup is consistent, regardless of operator expertise. The Agilent 7500 Series of ICP-MS instruments delivers the lowest level of matrix-based polyatomic interferences of any commercial ICP-MS system, ensuring data quality even for the high-matrix samples frequently encountered in environmental, geological, clinical, and foods. The Agilent 7500 Series also features nine orders of linear dynamic range and a true simultaneous dual-mode detector with a new, high-speed log amplifier. The unique amplifier design allows the system to acquire data at the same high speed, whether analyzing in pulse counting or extended dynamic range. The new detector makes the Agilent 7500 Series a very powerful tool for fast, transient, signal measurement (with chromatographic or laser ablation analysis, for example). The new Agilent 7500a features the ShieldTorch System, which dramatically increases sensitivity across the full mass range. The ShieldTorch also enables cool plasma operation for the removal of polyatomic interferences on K, Ca, and Fe, and carbon-based interferences in organics. A wide range of optimal accessories enhances the system flexibility of Agilent 7500a. The Integrated Sample Introduction System (ISIS) is a powerful tool for increasing sample throughput or automating manual tasks such as sample dilution. The Agilent GC interface is the first commercially available interface enabling GC-ICP-MS analysis. Add the Agilent Technologies Plasma Chromatographic software, and the 7500a becomes a very powerful solution for speciation analysis.
Should user requirements change, the 7500a can be upgraded easily onsite with reaction cell technology. The Agilent 7500a ICP-MS features: Compact, benchtop design Durable, stainless steel chassis Open architecture sample introduction area for ease of use Peltier-cooled sample introduction system ShieldTorch System offering high sensitivity mode and cool plasma operation Four computer-controlled mass-flow controllers for optimum stability Automatic, computer-controlled torch alignment for consistent performance Robust 27 MHz solid state RF generator Innovative interface design featuring dual extraction lenses Omega II off-axis lens system True hyperbolic quadrupole cross-section rods Digitally synthesized 3 MHz, high-frequency RF generator Simultaneous Dual Mode detector with an exclusive high-speed amplifier providing nine orders of linear dynamic range Upgradeable onsite to reaction cell technology DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT Mainframe (W x D x H) Weight 1100 x 600 x 640 mm 175 kg (386 lb) Not including PC, printer and rotary pump HARDWARE Nebulizer Spray chamber Interface Four mass-flow controllers Fifth mass-flow controller ShieldTorch system ICP source Vacuum system Ion optics Quadrupole Quadrupole radio frequency Data acquisition Minimum dwell time 100 µs Mass range 2-260 amu High solids type Thermoelectrically controlled Nickel cones Plasma, auxiliary, make-up and carrier gas lines Optional Standard 27.12 MHz solid state Three stage Omega II off-axis lens system True hyperbolic cross-section rods 3 MHz True simultaneous dual-mode electron multiplier with nine orders dynamic range
