INTRODUCTION Electromagnetic and a magnetic surveys were performed on the GOLDEN STAR MINE claims of PIRP HOLDINGS during the period April 14 to 17, 1983. The property consists of 3 unpatented mining claims of approximately 40 acres each numbered 629055, 629056, 629057. The purpose of the surveys were to detect bedrock zones of electrical conductivity and magnetic susceptibility, which may lead to the discovery of gold bearing deposits in the area. LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY The property is located approximately l mile south of Mine Centre and is accessible via Bad Vermillion lake which passes through the northwest corner of claim No. 629055. SURVEY METHODS Electromagnetic: The instrument used was an APEX PARAMETRICS MAXMIN 11 unit, serial No. 1045. It was operated in the horizontal loop mode with 400' separation between the transmitting and receiving coils. Readings were taken at 100' intervals along the lines, except that in anomalous areas the readings were taken every 50'. The instrument is capable of operating on five different frequencies of which 1777 hz was used. In this type of survey, both the in-phase and out-of-phase components of the secondary field are measured and are recorded as percen tages of the primary field. The readings for both components are plotted along the survey lines shown on the accompanying map, and profiles are drawn. A conductor will produce a curve in both profiles which goes from positive through zero to negative and back to positive again. The ratio between the amplitudes of the negative parts of the curves for the two components is a measure of the conductivity. A good conductor, such as a pyritic sulphide body, will cause a greater amplitude in the in-phase profile than in.the out-of-phase profile. The opposite is true for a poor conductor. MAGNETIC: The instrument used in this survey was GEOMETRICS 816 total field proton magnetometer, serial No. 60969. Readings were taken at 100" intervals along the lines, except that in anomalovs areas ( 100 gammas) *
the readings were taken every 50'. This type of magnetometer measures the value of the earths total magnetic Field at any given point, these readings are plotted along the survey lines shown on the accompanying map and contours are drawn. Diurnal variations were corrected for by estas blishing a base station at L-48 * 00 W on B.L. 6 * DOS, reading the baseline and then taking repeat readings at the intersection of the baseline and the picket lines. SUMMARY OF RESULTS ELECTROMAGNETIC There were four electromagnetic conductors located by the EM survey, all are very weak or poor conductors as characterized by high out-of phase amplitudes and low in-phase amplitudes. have parallel strike directions. All appear to be very narrow and None of the conductive zones have any significant magnetic coincidence and all are overburden or swamp covered. Zone A is the strongest of the four anomalies and is continuous across three lines. Zones B s C are very weak and are on strike with each other, although they are not continuous with each other they may be related to the same geological feature. Zone D is quite weak and continuous across two lines. CONCLUSIONS ; The four electromagnetic conductors appear to be legitimate bedrock anomalies however they are very weak and narrow. The grid area is mainly overlain by swamp so the only way to further explore these zones would be by diamond drilling. This report was written by A.J. Lambert a geological technician employed by NORTHWEST GEOPHYSICS LIMITED who personally supervised the survey on the SHOAL LAKE ROAD claims. A.J. Lambert NORTHWEST GEOPHYSICS LIMITED MAY 11, 1983.

Please forward one copy to the recorded holder of the claims and retain the other. In approximately fifteen days from the above date, a final letter of approval of these credits will be sent to you. On receipt of the approval letter, you may then change the work entries on the claim record sheets. For further information, if required, please contact Mr. F.W. Matthews at 416/965-1380. Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources Notice of Intent for Technical Reports 1983 11 23 71-83 i 2.5638 An examination of your survey report indicates that the requirements of The Ontario Mining Act have nol been fully rnel to warrant maximum assessment work credits. This notice is merely a warning thai you will not be allowed the number of assessment work days credits that you expected and also that in approximately 15 days from the above date, the mining recorder will bc authori/ed to change the entries on his record sheets to agree with the enclosed statement. Please note that until such time as the recorder actually changes the entry on the record sheet, the status of the claim remains unchanged. If you are of the opinion that these changes by the mining recorder will jeopardize your claims, you may during the next fifteen days apply to the Mining and Lands Commissioner for an extension of time. Abstracts should be sent with your application. H the reduced rale of credits does not jeopardize the status of the claims then you need not seek relief from the Mining and Lands Commissioner and this Notice of Intent may be disregarded. If your survey was submitted and assessed under the "Special Provision-Performance and Coverage" method and you are of the opinion that a re-appraisal under the "Man-days" method would result in the approval of a greater number of days credit per claim, you may, within the said fifteen day period, submit assessment work breakdowns listing the employees names, addresses and the dates and hours they worked. The new work breakdowns should be submitted direct to the Lands Management Branch, Toronto. The report will be re-assessed and a new statement of credits based on actual days worked will be issued.
