Abstract The researcher, in his thesis which is presented for obtaining a doctorate degree dealt with artistry features in love poetry of Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mahjoub. The study is divided into three chapters. He introduced Modern Arabic Poetry and its schools, their features in Sudanese Poetry. He has presented examples from traditional and modern then talked about education role, Gordon Memorial college, the graduates' Conference and the Scientific Institute in improving the Sudanese thinkers' minds politically, socially and culturally. Chapter One In this chapter the researcher talked about El- Mahjoub's life in three sections.in the first section he talked about his birth, childhood and growing up in El-Dueim at his uncle's house where he grew in luxury. First he studied at preliminary school, then Gordon Memorial College where he graduated as an engineer and a lawyer. The researcher expressed his origins which belongs to El-Godalab family of the Hashmab and his original homeland. Then he talked about his generation among which he was distinguished in his political ideas and thoughts. This qualified him to be installed in constitutional positions through which he participated in organizing government system in Sudan and did great achievements still living in peoples' minds. In the second chapter the researcher talked about his thoughts and political effects and great views that benefited a great many thinkers and politicians and those who care for culture.the section also talks about El-Mahjoub's poetry collections which are not included in his divan. Then he collected what has been written from his poems in divans and magazines. It also talks about the sophist part in his poetry which he found it a mixture of traditional and modern. ط

Chapter Two In this chapter the researcher talks about the poetry purposes in El-.Mahjoub's poetry and what is in it,whether modern or traditional. The chapter consists of five sections. In the first section he talked about El-Naseeb and descriptive poetry in which the poet proved to be creative and touched in his emotions and a skillful artist and figured in his fiction to picture woman and nature. While in the second chapter the researcher turned an eye to his laments. He chose five symbols among which was his lament poetry on his mother in which he appeared to be touched and grave and suffered great pains. And in the lament poetry on Imam Abdrahman El-Mahdi, Ahmed Yousif Hashim, Muawya Mohammed Nour and El-Aggad he mixed laments with extolment. He showed grievances for their loss and appreciating their attitude before death. The third chapter talks about his political poetry in which he expressed his national poetry and the criticizers' opinions about it. It also expressed the hopes, pains and self revolution in which he had been affected by his country's matters. The fourth chapter consists of his poetry on self honour, occasions, extolment and satirist. The researcher noticed that although El- Mahjoub was patriot, he was not proud of his country and people. but he was proud of himself. El-Mahjoub showed great emotional diversity in his memorial poetry with memories that refer to his joyful life in which he built a niche of beauty, love and art. This kind is rarely seen in his poetry. It appeared in some occasions like festivals. They are all kinds of motivation for his people to continue strife against tyranny. In his wisdom poetry, El Mahjoub has presented great wisdoms from his own patriotic and political experiences. These wisdoms are as valuable as those inherited from Arabic legacy. He hasn t written any extolment poetry because life has given him all that he needs. The extolment poetry can only be seen in his laments while he has covered lampoon with nothingness. The fifth chapter dealt with his modern poetry in which he has posited poetry renaissance bases in Sudan. He used the poet ي

free of rhyme and outspread poetry and embellished Al- Mwashhat. His poetry was a good example for modernization. Chapter Three The third chapter consists of artistic and diction poetry in El- Mahjoub's poetry.it consists of four sections. The first section talks about El-Mahjoub's experience whether its sincere or copy acting. The researcher made sure that El-Mahjoub was true in emotional poetry experience which was a mixture of grievances, sadness, joviality, heartbreak, anger, pain and hope. The second chapter deals with artistic poetry in El- Mahjoub's poetry and the symbolic figures, diction, metymy, metaphoric and imaginary proved his intelligence and fiction.he also looked at its gorgeous figures in which he was creative. He compared the vocalization strain to words and sentences in gorgeous musical forms which affects the reader and hearer. The third chapters looked at artistic parts in El-Mahjoub's experience and the structure of his poems. His style was very strong and neat and that distinguished him and made the effect of his experience clear and his figures full of inspiration and transparency through which you can have a glimpse at his soul. El-Mahjoub is also distinguished for equable diction which he has carefully chosen its words.he has accorded their meaning with their musical strain and intellectual figures. His poetry has deep fiction and speaking moving figures full of spirit expressing what is rooming in him towards nature, people and life. This has given it motion and life and figured the effect with which he had been affected and passed it to us with pulse and spirit. While his emotion is sentimental and pulsing and differs according to his heart's pulsing. His flirtation sentiment is not like weepy and tears sentiment. The fourth and last section looked at his poems musical strain and what is in them as measure, rhyme, rhythm and patience. ك
