AASD SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM Fifth Grade Social Studies Description The fifth grade survey of American History course provides a general overview of our nation from colonization into the Twenty-First Century. Our main topics are the American Revolution, Birth of a New Nation, Westward Expansion, Divided Nation, Becoming a World Power and American Challenges into the 21 st Century.
