BASIN BOUNDARY MODIFICATION Petitioned the Department of Water Resources (DWR) to revise Kern County Subbasin boundaries to create a separate White Wolf Subbasin Basin boundary modification request approved by DWR in July 2016 and the California Water commission (CWC) in October 2016
DOWNGRADE FROM CRITICAL OVERDRAFT STATUS After the creation of the new White Wolf Subbasin, AEWSD, TCWD, and WRMWSD petitioned DWR to downgrade the new Subbasin from critical overdraft status Rising water levels in the White Wolf Subbasin between1989 and 2009 demonstrates lack of overdraft condition Removal of critical overdraft status allows White Wolf Subbasin more time (2 years) to comply with SGMA Kern Subbasin White Wolf Kern Subbasin Kern Subbasin Data Source: CASGEM Public Portal; California Department of Water Resources, California s Groundwater Update 2013 (2013).

CASGEM COMPLIANCE The California Statewide Groundwater Elevation Monitoring (CASGEM) Program tracks seasonal and long-term groundwater elevation trends in groundwater basins statewide In June 2017, the White Wolf GSA submitted the required documents and data to CASGEM to become a monitoring entity. By doing so, the GSA: Demonstrates its commitment to monitoring groundwater elevation in the White Wolf Subbasin Fulfills eligibility criteria for state grants related to groundwater management Data Source: CASGEM Public Portal; California Department of Water Resources.
